Are they going to fix these servers sometime this year?

In the past 5 hours of playing, I've leveled up 4 levels on my arcane warrior to level 20.

About 2.5 of those hours were solo-ing, since nobody is apparently unable to join my games. I tried joining others, but either I have no controls when I start, or I lose connection, or there is just one person sitting there also waiting for people to join his game.

Also the incessant crashing, I crash at the beginning of the game, I crash at the end. I crashin the middle. I crash when someone joins. Tired of losing progress to the stupidity of this design.

I literally spent half an hour, sitting in a lobby, waiting for someone to join. I just went ahead and solo-ed a routine mission with my assassin at that point. When is this going to be fixed? It's been a couple weeks since the game came out. Have the developers said anything? I am very tired of this. I have a stellar connection and I always host when my friends are on, because It's smoothest for them that way.

The gameplay is fun when it actually gets going, but until these server problems and glitches are fixed, the multiplayer sums up to garbage work.

This my good sir is not the servers :)

I´ve had the same issue, then i did some investigation and found out that it´s using P2P connections that means that if you have closed ports, strict antivirus, wrong settings on firewall etc will cause these issues. In my case i had the same issues and it was because of a really bad internet connection cause by the router.

200/20 connection, no antivirus (just the Windows Defender service), ports open at OS level with the computer moved to DMZ on the router (just to test).

Still lagging, hard.

In that case that still means DA:I has terrible netcode that causes crashes or force quit the game when it runs into those situation which should never happen.

It's close to 2015 so not this year. Unless you were being sarcastic.

I suppose it's worth pointing out that matches are hosted by the players, and not a server.  Having a great connection on your end doesn't necessarily mean that the guy hosting your match has got a great connection on theirs.  That's not to say that all of the issues you're seeing are due to the host having a crappy connection, but it is something to keep in mind.

ME3 had the same problems. I think it is Origin related as that sets up the matches. I know that opening my firewalls(Win Firewall and Router firewall) along with my ports helped but did not completely fix the problem.

The servers are quite bad. For me personally, the probability of encountering a connection issue while playing DAMP is 100%...

Hehe I was just wondering if anyone would catch that.

It just seems like an odd queue system for matchmaking, because once I actually get people in, they come in fast.

On ps4 i get maybe 1 laggy host out of 10.  Have only crashed twice in 80 or so hours of play, I do get the "you have been disconnected from this session" error a decent bit when trying to join games, but once one is going, unless the host is on Chinese dial-up, things are generally smooth.
