1. I wasn't asking for a "solution". I was requesting this for those of us who actually know how to manage an inventory system to expedite clearing out items they don't want en masse.
2. "You realize more than 1 character can use the same item which means to salvage it I'd need to load each one of them and unequip it first..."
You either made that up on the fly or made an assumption about something you think exists. You don't need to load up a different characters to salvage gear worn on a different class nor if your currently on a class that doesn't use that type weapon. If you salvage weapons that are worn by your alts then your alts will default back to using their Inquisition weapons. That's why Inquisition weapons are non-salvage.
Before shooting someone's idea down try testing it out first. I did. That's why I requested the "Hold" feature first.
3. That's not any different than accidentally salvaging one item at a time. I didn't request the feature(s) as a fail-safe. If you're scared of accidentally salvaging gear, then don't use it or be extremely careful when using it. I can say the same thing for the current salvage feature.
1. Please, don't assume I don't know how to manage my own inventory. Don't be a condescending either.
Removing item "en masse" would introduce much more accidents than doing it manually for every items. Unless you have a confirmation for each item, which would defeat the original purpose, but it would be faster than doing it manually. You have to realize Bioware won't see this as a feature, they'll see this as how many complaints will I have in tech support compared to what we already have. My guess is they won't do it because it would be a lot more.
Also, inventory management is a mess on PC with mouse/keyboard. You don't always get item descriptions on mouse over, there's no keyboard shortcut for salvaging, etc. Fixing this first would be much more important and probably reduce the required salvaging time by 90%.
2. You're right, I forgot about de default weapons.
3. Yes it's different. Yes you can just as easily salvage by accident a great item, but you'll do it once. Making it automated with the push of a button has the potential to multiply those accidents by dozens. Manually salvaging always has a confirmation first, automatic salvage wouldn't or if you added it, you simply reduce the time it takes by 50% (which could be nice). Still, it's not ideal as you would probably want to cancel the whole process before the end of all the confirmations, which would require another feature. You're pilling up features for something that doesn't give Bioware any money, I doubt it will happen.
