Please stop asking for nerfs.

When people cry for nerf bad things happen. How about this for a change. Ask for buffs. I want a strictly pve game like this. Its simple, tactical, and addictive. I love how most of the characters play. I am really looking foward to anykind of multiplayer dlc.
If anything buff the characters that can't self heal. Even if they leave multiplayer the way it is, besides a few bugs. I think the multiplayer is amazing.

Where's the nerf herder when you need him?!

Buff and nerfs are necessary even in PvE games though as subpar classes and overperforming ones hurt gameplay diversity and trivialize challenges, if learning how to enjoy playstyle is your thing then you should be happy with such changes as you get to try to find the new next best thing ever.

Here is the problem, do you enjoy playing in a group of 4 arcane warriors? do you like going into each lobby and having nothing but 4 arcane warriors all with the same staff?
That is what happens when you don't nerf/boost things as time goes on. It's been proven time and again, if the community finds an over powered character or weapon that is all you see and it's boring as all heck. Hey, I agree that it is disappointing when you get a nerf to something you like playing but in my mind it is a necessary evil.

Isn't this game less that 2 weeks old?
Can't we just leave it alone for now?
(except for items nerfing themselves in your inventory, that needs a fix asap)

Why would you want to play something that over trivilizes all the content? Mindlessly whacking monsters with no threat of dying gets boring after a while, regardless if it's a pve game or not.

Lol if Arcane Warriors are to be nerfed then nerf my Elementlist as well or my Reaver cause I have at least equally good score with them.....
Ohhh and yes i DO NOT tank with the Reaver or Elementalist... Have to adapt to what they are good at,,, I basically let someone else take initial aggro and then I kill most of the mobs myself...

Clearly we need to nerf Shadohz. I've seen him post like 12 times in the last few days. Clearly that's OP and something needs to change. Enjoy it while it last Shadohz... the end is nigh!

Well to start, I think Fade Cloak is a bit too effective with being able to break CC and doing 1000% weapon damage so most likely it's going to see some rebalancing, which in term would affect AW and Bioware can see how things pan out from there on. Personally I'd really like to see Hunter gets a buff since there's absolutely no reason to take him over an archer. If only Throwing Blade hits every enemy in proximity and counts as a precision detonator then Hunter would have a place in the game.

I kind of like Fade Cloak as it is. Yeah, it's effective, but you're also kind of screwed if you botch the timing. You've got 2 seconds worth of duration, and you can't end the ability early to trigger the damage. I'm not saying it's the hardest skill in the game to use effectively, but I don't think it's a problem either.

Well, I was thinking more along the line of say take away the CC removal effect and makes the cool down 16 seconds instead of 12 than changing how the ability work completely.

Fade Cloak is far from being OP on other classes, it's pretty good but not OP. People single out that ability just because of the Arcane Warrior. Remember that 1000% damage on a 70 damage staff (100+ DPS) is only 700 damage (more with crits), which is about the same as 350% damage from a good sword.
The problem is more about Fade Shield than Fade Cloak. Fade Shield is unique to the Arcane Warrior and if you're not gimping yourself by taking the 50% bonus to Barrier, you can keep your Barrier alive almost indefinitely. Making the Barrier harder to get up or keep up would slow down the Arcane Warrior a notch.
Pull of the Abyss is also freaking awesome, big AOE, weakens enemies, synergize well with Spirit Blade and Fade Cloak, good duration, etc.
Honestly, the problem with the Arcane Warrior is it has all the best spells (Chain Lightning, Spirit Blade, Fade Cloak, Stone Fist) and probably the best passive of the game with Fade Shield. It has no weaknesses, it attacks from range or from melee, can tank better than most Warriors, generates his own Barrier, Spirit Blade hits multiples enemies for more damage than his staff could, etc. It's the best from the best all in the same package.
Before touching Fade Cloak, I'd nerf:
- Spirit Blade from 150% to 125% damage
- Pull of the Abyss duration from 12 seconds to 8
- Pull of the Abyss area from 6 to 5 meters
- Fade Shield from 30% to 20% damage dealt
And I'd fix Strength of the Spirits so the 50% bonus to Barrier doesn't make it decay faster. Right now, your Barrier goes from 2000 to 3000 points but always decays 10%/second which means going for the 50% bonus decays the Barrier faster by 300 points/second instead of 200/second.
Nerfing the Arcane Warrior should be done in very small increments. Everything on this guy is tightly connected so going berserk on 1 aspect would destabilize him completely.

God damnit. This again.
Okay, I'll explain this ONE MORE TIME.
This is a co-op game. Therefore, everybody should have a chance to contribute. If one player can breeze through without the help of their teammates, there is no reason for their teammates to be there, and their teammates have nothing to do. That's boring and makes playing the game pointless. At that point, you might as well just click a button and win instantly.

If something needs nerfing, I'd rather they nerfed it.
It's better to balance everything the first time, but it sure isn't realistic. If they get the balance wrong, I'd rather they fix it. How it may upset a some people who play the game doesn't really concern me as much as the longevity of the game. A "no nerfs" policy is condemning the game to a slow death.
