In my run I had it finish with Flemeth standing in front of an Eluvian more or less smirking at the old god's soul in her hand, IIRC. After she dies, we see how Mythal jumps over to Solas' body. But what I wonder is, what happens to the old god's soul?

Was the interest in it caused by Flemeth herself or rather by Mythal? In case of the latter, I suspect Solas would obviously take the Old God's soul for himself.

While at that, what do they actually hope to gain with the soul?

I haven't seen what happens if one had denied Morrigan's ritual in DA:O. So maybe some of my questions can be answered by what was revealed there?

My theory? We will never hear from or about the Old God soul again, can't have a nasty variable like that hanging over the series continuity so it is safer just to dispose of it in the cheapest way possible.

Of course it raises a good number of plot holes, I thought the whole reason Grey Wardens were needed to stop a blight was because an Archdemon can only poses another creature tainted with the blight and the reason the Archdemon is killed when it tries to poses a Grey Warden is because 2 souls can't share the same vessel and end up destroying each other, does that mean that Morrigan's son is now without a soul?

Someone said the soul was released in the fade. I thought she had absorbed it.

All it means is that Grey Warden souls and Archdemon souls don't mix. It doesn't mean other souls can't under any circumstances do so.

I think the difference is, Kieran absorbed the soul literally a day after he was conceived, and then sort of grew up with it afterwards. Grey Wardens spend all their lives with one soul, and are inflexible in that--as soon as another tries to intrude, both are destroyed.

It's like how babies can learn multiple languages easily while adults can't. Except the second language destroys your soul if you can't learn it.

She looked suspiciously like somebody who was trying dispose of a corpse, I guess it is fitting since it was the corpse of an inconvenient variable that the fans won't shut up about so I am guessing now that Flemeth has safely disposed of the Old God soul where it can't do any harm or have any relevant effect on future Dragon Age titles Bioware is hoping we will forget it ever existed.

Also, he does have a soul, he mentions feeling lonely, implying he had both a human soul and OGS.

I theorize that Flemeth is trying to get all the Old Gods into one body or place, so she already has the Dread Wolf, an Old God and Herself/Mythal.

Sadly this is probably the reason it all happened.

My feeling with Inquisition is that they're trying to wrap off loose ends so they can move north with fewer variables to worry about.

Ferwell Urthemiel now you are free and the Dragon age Universe return one again, but now the US of DAO is Usless.

This is why a game cannot CANNOT provide major optional choice, they cant build 2 story, Kieran is an irrelevant character, like any other optional character.

What did you say my buddy is a fact, few people realized this.

For me the game was very good in many respects, but the story was crap , just for turning my previous choices in fan service only . In the end, nothing I did not mind if part of the default of Bioware.

How did he became irrelevent because he appeared in the game and and Urthemiel is freed from him now lurking in the fade.

It looked like she was sending it into the Eluvian.

I watched the ending, and I thought that, too. Perhaps she send it somewhere safe, await for something major to happen? Also, I'm a bit disappointed that the child with OGS isn't more featured in this, but ah, well, I understand that not everyone choose the ritual path. What made me utterly sad was there was no Sandal =/ There was high hope for that boy, and his prophecy haven't come to pass yet xD The hole in the sky not withstanding, it wasn't "the sky will open wide" =x It's a hole. And "one day the magic will come back, all of it" is kinda only hinted with the return of Fen'Harel and Mythal. There gotta be more!
