Multiplayer Feedback and Suggestions

Hi!

 

First of all I should start with sending you a huge thanks for creating such wonderful game.... I started off by playing the campaign and enjoyed my first hours there.

 

Then I decided to try out the multiplayer.... Since that I have not played anything else the last week.

 

The multiplayer in it's current form is really really fun! I totally like it! BUT there are room for some serious improvements as well. So I though I should give you my input of what I think would make DAMP a huge success.

 

# The RNG is obviously annoying but also what keeps people from grinding over and over again in hope of a new fancy item that improves one of your characters. However I would like to see a change here actually and thats where you add chests that costs more money but also have a higher chance of giving rare/uniques. To this I would also like to see that your add special event chests on a monthly basis with loot tables that are different from the normal ones, and once the event chests period is over then the chance to get loot from those quests are gone. By doing so you will keep the interest of grinding for new loot over and over again since you have incentives to do so.

 

# Make more schematics that are drop/chest only that allows you to craft more interesting stuff and add more tiers to the current items.

 

# The current quests that you have now are fun at the moment, but they are also quite repetetive and is basically just the environment that's changing along with a few new monsters and a boss. You know that you have a HUGE potential with what you have created sofar right?? Now you just have to expand and take advantage of it. For example make its more like a quest where you get the basic quest info from a voice like it is today...

 

In my example lets say you are told that the local residents of a town have experienced several dissappearances lately and the towncouncil have asked you to search the woods where the disappearances has occured for clues. Then you progress lets say into a wooden area where you are supposed to find 3 clues scattered around. Once those clues are collected then you can see an icon on the mini map pointing out a hidden dungeon entrance. Once inside that dungeon you start a dungeon crawl and in the end you face a boss monster along with his minions. Once he is defeated then you have finished the quest. After that quest is done then you have unlocked a new quest with increased difficulty and so on.

 

By doing this you can actually create more of a campaign and once this "campaign" is completed and the final boss has been defeated then a special loot chest should be awarded with a loot table that is unique for this specific campaign. Also when the first campaign is unlocked on Routine difficulty then the next difficulty is unlocked. 

 

This would make the replayability alot more fun, and you have the sweet carrot in form of a campaign chest at the end to make you run the campaigns more times. Also important that you make the end rewards a tad better for each difficulty to promote incentives to not speed run the easier difficulties.

 

# I would also love to see more "morphing" of the skills which also make a "class" possible to be alot different from others playing the same class. This is not a priotized thing though.

 

If this was too happen then I have so hard to see myself playing anything else then DAMP for a long future as long the content is consistanly updated.

 

So you have given me hopes for a lovely multiplayer gaming experience that I never thought would be possible so now lets make this  a reality? :)
