I know many people been having this problem (its been happening for me since the beggining of the games) but normally its "workable"

 

Companions missing from their spot in Skyhold. Most of them vanish from time to time, but all i need to do is run around in skyhold doing other stuff, when i go back they are there.

 

Lately tho, its been a nightmate to find Leliana. I can only see her once for every 4/5 hours of gameplay. And now Cullen is completely gone. Even his icon (which used to be in that tower, with the bedroom above the office) is gone now and he is never there. 20h of gameplay now that he's been missing...

 

Has anyone found a way to make them show up again? I mean Leliana is frustrating but i can find her now and then. Cullen tho is completely MIA and now even his icon is gone from the map... Feels like I lost an advisor

I've seen this in a few other games that had a lot of DLC. I think the more DLC that is downloaded the more unstable the game becomes. Since these are add ons to the original game I think the game code gets corrupted to a certain extent although you would think that Bioware would have game tested this before releasing the DLC. JMO.

No option to Talk with that npc, for me

I don't even HAVE the NPC to try and talk to... Cullen is just... gone. It's not even anything to do with the "prank" scene for me because I deliberately got that out of the way a couple of dozen hours of play earlier to make *sure* this wouldn't happen... grrrrrr...

 

No Cullen, not on the map, not near Cas, not in his room, not in the Tavern... no soldier to trigger the quest, just... gone.  And I'd have to backtrack over 80 hours of playtime including that freaking interminable Hakkon dlc to get back to the last time I 'spoke' to him

What happens if you go to the Blacksmith? Maybe he's there but the quest icon isn't showing for some reason?

Sometimes, the missing NPC problem resolves itself when you fast travel to a different location and then back to Skyhold.

I usually have this problem after finishing the main game. After some trial and error I realized that the bug was triggered by talking to Iron Bull after defeating Corypheus. So if anyone has a similar problem, just avoid Bull and you will hopefully be fine.

i have this problem a lot when I come back from a quest and want to make my Skyhold round of smooching my LI in his Tower and get all buddy buddy with the rest and they never load in. Frustrating as hell but restarting the game always fixes it
