The more I play the game... I find myself noticing the mouse issues less and less, I guess I'm getting used to it.

BUT, the FOV is really killing me. It's so narrow it almost makes me dizzy sometimes.

have to agree with this , I had a really hard time getting used to control key changes and at that first bypass I found it impossible to 'balance' the momentum carry through from my mouse pointer to hit and pair the correct dot. Hope that is understandable. However with patience and actually getting used to the keyboard (which I was not) and still rarely remember to use Q & E to control other movement or the quickkeys to make the game more fluid.
I seem to find myself playing the game from a duck for cover perspective, a defensive game rather than an offensive stand up and trade punches completely suicidal in this game (I believe).
I play mostly Adept and find Vangard the hardest , Its getting used to using biotic chaarge well and I can't.
I do find that Geth Shield works best for me

off track of topic, sorry but I just wanted to say that I have found it unneccessary to change any settings for my mouse control in the .ini file. It was really my own and maybe setting the settings, but they are all at max anyway and I have gone from casual to normal and veteran pretty quickly but yet to try inanity(sorry, inSanity)
One thing more, this is best game ever! Advise anyone who is experiencing difficulty controlling things in this game to persevere.

the mouse issue in ME2 is a disaster, and I have tried everything and nothing works.

This is a total bummer!!

Did you even try to do what it says in this thread? It completely fixes the mouse movement.

Yeah, I can't believe they didn't just fix a simple thing like this in a patch. It doesn't look like we are going to be getting any more patches. Leaving us hangin.

So. I updated and my mouse now does nothing during gameplay and only works during menu's. I see others have been getting this error as well. Anyone fix this? Reinstall didn't work.

3 installs and a format and ANOTHER install and the moment I update with the patch the game loses the mouse ingame. Damn this is horrid.

lol, I have spent more time on this thread than actually in game now.

The best we can hope is they release a mouse and FOV fix as DLC...I would buy it.

This is a joke, just bought the game, played for 3 minutes before I knew that I wouldn't be able to tolerate the camera sensitivity for hours of gaming. Come here..what do i find, a month old thread WITH a blue post and STILL no ****ing fix. Bioware you are **** now, done with you.

HAHAHHA

Seriously they will never fix it.  Vote with your wallet and refuse to buy future games from EA (not just BioWare) if you are genuinely upset by their lack of support.

Meh, I can't even use the .ini tweaks. I have the Steam version and if I try to modify the .ini it just won't start....I have to reverify the cache files to get it to run again

I like how despite the fact that these fixes were figured out by the community well before the first patch, they were never actually implemented into the game officially, even though there was pretty much no extra work to do on BioWare's end. Morons.  I guess it's up to the fanbase to fix everything themselves, right?

I had some issues too with mouse and spacebar functions but after reducing resolution on graphics and making some changes at the .ini file that are mentioned previously here ,all things seems to run good, i even managed to complete some bypassing that before seemed impossible with the default settings. I still have an issue with my G7 mouse. When i install logitech's drivers and software that included with the mouse , after 5-7 minutes of use the DPI increesses by it's own and the mouse pointer get freeze. The odd thing is when i install the mouse without any drivers and software it works perfectly without any interrupts.

Here's the fix for mouse lag. Someone please make this reply visible.

1. Open up Coalesced.ini inside \\\\Mass Effect 2\\\\BioGame\\\\Config\\\\PC\\\\Cooked\\\\
2. search for bEnablemouseSmoothing
3. change bEnableMouseSmoothing to false (bEnableMouseSmoothing=false)
4. search for DoubleCLickTime (just before bEnableMouseSmoothing)
5. remove one "0" character from DoubleClickTime value so that it reads DoubleClickTime=0.25000 instead of DoubleClickTime=0.250000
5. save the file
6. No more mouse lag.

The removal of that one 0 chanarcer is important. The file size of the coalesced.ini is checked when the game starts and if not corrct the game will crash. So when you change bEnableMouseSmoothing to false the file grows by 1 byte because word "false" has 1 byte more than "true" in the text file. This is why you need to remove that one 0 character (it doesn't affect anything).

Sorry I didn't notice this thread sooner. :(

// Edit

Oh, and here's my original topic.

WHY WAS THIS NOT ADDRESSED IN THE PATCH THAT WAS JUST FREAKING RELEASED!?!?!?!

I have held off playing this game even though I dropped a large chunk of my money on it only to see one of the largest issues this game has to go completely ignored. I am PISSED.

lol, it is amazing that they can continue to ignore the issues outlined in this thread since release. I still haven't played it through and with all the great games coming out now I doubt I ever will.

Bioware games have gone from a pre-release purchase to a wait for review/forum comments purchase.

Bioware, you are unbelievable... It's been several months and two patches without a proper fix to the drunken mouse.

If there was an issue about DLC's I bet you'd hotfix it in 3 seconds.

Hey guys. I have a Coolermaster Sentinel mouse that's VERY sensitive. I had problems with slow pointer movement and very fast camera movement (with the camera settings having no noticeable effect), until I set my mouse dpi lower (1600 dpi) and windows pointer speed at 6 (pointer precision off).

My issue seems to be with mouse speed only during the stupid safe cracking mini game. Will the fixes above resolve the issue?
