Well, yes... I actually decided to leave my main Hawke mage in the Fade, because I care for the fate of the Wardens (I'm much more attached to my main DA:O-Warden than the other two PCs), and even Hawke himself said that the southern Wardens would need a guy like Loghain (or Alistair/that other guy from DA2) if they were to rebuild successfully.

Then, I also believed that mage Hawke would have much better chances of survival in the given situation than good ol' warrior Loghain, not to mention that the latter would probably never find a way to get out of the Fade, even if he survived that encounter.

Also, the game tells you only "Hawke is likely to die", meaning they leave a door open to bring Hawke/the Warden of your choice back.

Maybe I'm way too optimistic, but I believe this hole thing has "DLC" written allover it.

Is that a likely scenario? What do you think on the issue of Hawke and if you like also the Warden in the Fade?

I did think that was unusual, that they would "likely" die. I wonder if they'll bring that person back later anyways? Of course there was no way I was going to leave Hawke so goodbye Stroud, I knew you...hardly at all.

Yeah, well... Strout is basically a blank face. I would probably have left him there as well. But with Loghain/Alistair, I was looking at it from the "for-the-greater-good" angle. Imagine my face when the ending slides told me that Loghain was never heard of again in the south...

It's good to know that Alistair was the one with Hawke in the fade in the trailers. It would be a hard choice for me as well but If I import a warden Alistair I'll have to use a default looking Hawke and customize his actions to be really bad then I'll have no problem feeding him to old Blinky :D

;)  Hawke wanted Corypheus. Thus he stayed in the Fade waiting for the Inquisitor to send Corypheus to him B)

I left Alistair, and bawled about the choice....redemtion for the Wardens, and all that. (Thankfully a non-romanced Al.)

Although since Hawke was the reason Corphy was wandering about in the first place.....Hawke will be demon fodder from now on. And dang your approval hit Varric, you're culpable too!

If Hawke lives I'm sure they'll find a way to make it to the Black City and destroy us all.  Or at the very least unleash another beautifully voice acted yet cliche villain onto the world.

Suddenly Hawke is invading everyone's dreams.

I had to decide between Alistair and Hawke and my warden was with Alistair so the decision was very difficult. First I left my Hawke in the fade because I thought that she could survive there better than Alistair but after that my Inquisitor was sure that whoever was left behind was dead. So I decided to leave Alistair behind because I wanted my Hawke have a future with Fenris and Alistair had less years than my Hawke because he is a grey warden. So I'm hoping that I can save Alistair in a dlc so that my warden can be with him. I have no idea how likely that is but there is hope! Because I tried to find some information how to save them both and I couldn't find and it was very weird that the one who is left behind will likely die rather than will die.

I'll never leave Hawke there regardless of who the other choice is, every play through ive banished the wardens an will continue to do so until BioWare gives Hawke some well earned rest an happiness :P

Great mission and loved seeing Hawke again, i think BioWare did well, but come the end of it i just felt tired for Hawke, BioWare really needs to give us a option to let him/her be able to frack of an have some happy time, bloody deserve it tbh lol

I hope nobody's really attached to the Fade. I expect there to be a massive demon war and the entire dimension on fire within a few years.

This is when the dwarven players come in and point out how that's not their problem :)

Id imagine they said likely so they could if they choose, use him in another story. A random line added about his/her mysterious arrival from the fade and now both choices are on even ground again so the story can progress. Pretty much like many of the choices.

Well, that's kind of what I'm hoping for. ;)

Or at least that he manages to escape by *insert plot device of choice*

Leaving Loghain in the Fade broke my heart. I LOVE HIM T-T but if I had left Hawke behind, she would have started something much worste than the Blight. Whatever my champion touches becomes a crazy worldwide war.

This...makes more sense then it should in the most terrifying way. -Inset standing ovation gif here-

Heh, that would make for an interesting scenario, a fade-haunted Hawke. Survived the giant monster, only to lose grip of what Reality is. And the way the search for him/her is triggered is people at Skyhold dreaming of him/Hawke's love interest arrives.

I now suddenly want this.

I will always leave Loghain (it was him in my canon playthrough) in the fade and keep Hawke alive. Or if i play with Alistair or Stroud, Hawke will remain alive and well.

Corypheus? :P

Corypheus invoked the "His Eyes Open" exemption, getting around the rule.  Though I do wish they kept the same voice actor.  The strange foreign accent added a level of menace I'm just not getting in the new guy.

I left Hawke because Hawke's sister died, then Carver died in the Deeproads, then she killed Anders that she romanced.    It felt fitting for that world save that she stay behind.

That said....it will be the ONLY time I will ever kill Hawke.

I will also NEVER kill Alistair.            So when I do play again it will be Stroud or Loghain.
