Hawke is probably going to uselessly faff about in the Fade until he stumbles into the Black City and unleashes something worse than the Darkspawn Taint.
I think he is just going to fapp, or something.

Isn't the real issue that he's stuck in the Fade physically? Last time I checked I don't think there is much in the way of food or potable water in the Fade...

This occurred to me too. That's why I don't think any kind of 'rescue the person from the Fade' dlc would ever work. Not that I'd actually want one. But even if their mind hadn't been screwed over by that point, they'd surely have starved or died of dehydration. I certainly wouldn't fancy trying to drink from those weird greenish puddles...
I've been wondering about that too. Do you think it's possible that time flows differently in the Fade? So say the times it takes the Inquisitor to finish Cory off and launch a rescue mission would only feel like a day to Hawke.
It was interesting that the decision said, "So and so will likely die." What that actually means (or doesn't mean) remains to be seen.
I beat Da2 as a Rogue, ans set my Tapestry as him being Rogue.. So why was Hawke a mage in Inquisition?

You have to make sure you have the right save world uploaded before you start a game.
Hawke wanted Corypheus. Thus he stayed in the Fade waiting for the Inquisitor to send Corypheus to him
5 bucks says Corypheus hijacks hawkes body in the fade. That or the warden you leave there.
Seems fittingly dark and could serve as one of the future dlc's/possible expansion, where the person you leave behind emerges from the fade some time later, only it isn't them at all.

Corypeus can only hijack wardens, mages or darkspawn. But it is badass that hawk will final be able to kill him while in the fade where he cannot hijack anyone.... except spirits. But even so, can't Corypheus reach out to other mages and beings from the Fade? Shouldn't it be easier for him? And since he is in the fade physical, doesn't that make him able to reach the black city now?
I'm pretty sure hawk is dead, i hope hawk is dead not because i hated hawk, but i like the idea the sacrifice for the greater good.
didn't we go through this same thing with Duncan's death until some dev confirmed he was dead?
Helpful being is still in there. I hope whoever it is *isn't* dead, because that's a way more interesting story than 'they died. the end'
I left Sroud in the fade because I don't give 2 shits about Stroud. But ever since I went back and listened to what Flemeth said about leaping into the abyss, I do kind of think leaving Hawke is the better choice? Maybe?
So on my 2nd playthrough I left Hawke in the fade (Warden in that world had done the ultimaye sacrifice, so it seemed fitting Hawke sacrifice herself as well), and on my 3rd playthrough I'm gonna leave Hawke behind as well.
I really do hope something awesome ends up coming out of leaving Hawke behind, though. That would be a nice change in expectations.
I left Hawke, and I honestly think that's the "correct" choice.
I have a pretty crazy theory about why this is so.
See, after I finished the game, and got the endgame cutscene, I got really curious about the time Flemeth appeared in Dragon Age II. So I hunted down a video of her.
The really important part comes at 3:43
"Destiny awaits us both, dear boy. We have much to do. Before I go, a word of advice? We stand upon the precipice of change. The world fears the inevitable plummet into the Abyss. Watch for that moment, and when it comes... do not hesitate to leap. It is only when you fall that you learn whether you can fly."
The name of this whole quest in Inquisition? Here Lies the Abyss. Hmm, I think the writers are trying to tell me something....
So Flemeth is giving Hawke a prophecy not for anything which happens in DAII - she's telling Hawke that when s/he's in the Abyss, s/he should leap and risk falling.
What I would *really* like to do is get a bunch of people together who have played Aggresive Hawke, Diplomatic Hawke, etc, and compare their animations if they are left in the Fade. Because, after all, Flemeth only said "whether" you can fly, and I'd love to see if there's a difference in a Hawke who could survive the Fade versus one who gave into fear and died.
I sincerely don't think Bioware had that in mind. Just a coincidence I'm sure
Shhhh... Don't take the dream away ![]()
Maybe some Solas, Fade, Hawke/Warden DLC...
Leaving Loghain in the Fade broke my heart. I LOVE HIM T-T but if I had left Hawke behind, she would have started something much worste than the Blight. Whatever my champion touches becomes a crazy worldwide war.
Ok. Why not?I don't think so..

Did you see the body? Then he isn't dead. Video game rule #1
Rule #2
You saw the body? Probably still coming back.

I still think it's too much to be a coincidence, especially since that moment in DA2 was solely meant to foreshadow the events of Inquisition. "The world fears the plummet into the abyss" = "Unless we act, the Breach will grow until it swallows the world". The Abyss is clearly a reference to the Fade. What is meant by flying is something else altogether.
Still though, I don't think anything will come of it.
I didn't leave Hawke behind. But for others who did I have a feeling Hawke is alive. The scene is just to anti climatic for a previous protagonists' death. I mean... The Nightmare demon taps Hawke a few times with its arms and she falls down dead? Lame. Plus, the dialogue wheels wording "Will LIKELY die." Yeah, Hawke will return in Avenge-- I mean DA4.
I didn't look at that scene of Hawke/Stroud dying.
Hawke I picture fighting long enough till everyone has gone thru rift and then getting away. Knowing how he got into Fade would only mean he needs to find another rift open to escape. Stroud I could see possible fighting until killed but may try and get away. Who knows, maybe we get a good answer to that one day.
