Awesome. Mordin looks great, and Zaeed seems like the Canderous of Mass Effect. The only complaint I got is while Zaeed's face is detailed, is a has a kind of plastic look to it...not nearly as fleshed out as the other characters. It could be the lighting though...same thing happened with Miranda's first pictures.

Totally possible.  Lots of Arabic nations were once part of the British Empire, and when these states were given/declared independence, many of the supporters of the Colonial Government fled to England to escape persecution for their cooperation with the British. 

Considering Mass Effect is in the distant future, its possible that Massani is the result of a complex network of marriages and culture.

I love what I see of Zaeed so far, but I'm having trouble reconciling the discrepancies between his voice, his name, and his appearance (as awesome as it is). I know that nationalities are supposed to be even more intermingled in the future. Maybe it'll just take time.

Mordin's video doesn't really sell him that well. At least, not when compared with the few video spoilers I've watched featuring the character. He really does look like a lot of fun.

As for Zaeed, while I'm not going to pass up a free download, I can't see him leaving the ship much. What a cliche.

What's really a trip are some people from Hong Kong.  I heard this girl from HK with an accent that was a mix of Cantonese and British English, she sounded exotically marveously.  She obviously spoke Cantonese primarily with formal English learned from or in Great Britian.  Had to pick my jaw off the floor at how amazing her compounded accent sounded.  Funny how English sounds depending on where you learn it.

Mordin looked okay but Zaeed looked awesome. I think that is the first character reveal that made me smile and actually want to get to know that character. Glad he is going to be day 1 DLC, I think he'll be a major character in my squads.
