Nightmare - Rogue Archer

Going to start my cannon save full clear, completionist or what you want to call it. Just wondering about a few things.

 

I will ofc play a rogue archer and race is either Dwarf or Human female. Dwarfs have magic resistance which is nice, i am just wondering what is magic exactly? demon attacks are they magic? or just what mages do with the ice mines etc. 

 

My party will probably be me, Blackwall as tank, Dorian as dmg mage and Vivienne as support mage. Wondering about Vivienne how she plays as knight enchanter with the AI? I don't wanna take full control over her and the Knight Enchanter is alot of spamming, mainly wanna use it for Barrier and shield dmg. I don't wanna cheese content either, just have that little advantage. Also wondering about Solas as rift mage, is it any good?. 

 

Also what should be the attribute focus on these characters when assuming those roles?.

I also play as rogue archer.

As for Vivienne I was pretty impressed with this video of building her:

I set up her AI in the tacitcs, and I must say she is still a killing machine without you controlling her.

A rogue archers team should always have at least 1 tank and 1 mage. Third team mate is optional in my opinion. You can have two tanks, to mages or simply a second rogue.

The core in my elite team is Cassandra as Templar and Vivienne as Knight Enchanter.
The rest depends a bit on what the quest is. But in general another mage or Blackwell can fill in.

I did a test though. I brought all 3 mages with me to The Hissing Wastes.Vivienne was set up with Fire as primary element, Solas with Spirit and Dorian with Frost.

I have to be honest, those mages did so much damage I didn't have to do very much my self. My only job was to scratch my behind and look pretty.
