Can you make an Inquisitor version of yourself? Post it here!

Great idea! I tried with my primary inquisitor, but was too anxious to start the game to complete it.  :P

I look forward to seeing people's results!

I wanted to post mine outside the OP.

Here is my "look-alike" Inquisitor.

*edit* Here's a better comparison of me:

Spoiler

Here's me, for comparison. (Obviously they don't have hair long enough to match my own. I had to compensate.)

Wow, great work. The only things that jump out to me are that maybe your real cheeks are lower than your look-alike and that the angle of your nose seems seems a touch off in look-alike (it's hard to tell with the two pictures here). Other than that, very convincing! Now if only you could represent your real hair!

I made my selfquisitor an elf, because I can. The eyes are a little too blue, because I suck at doing blue-grey eyes in the CC, and I don't normally wear makeup all that often, but I think it's a pretty good approximation.

Oh man. I had the toughest time with the cheeks. And the nose. I actually had a friend sitting next to me and he was kind of looking my profile up and down and giving suggestions, lol. It was a conjoined effort!

Honestly, I not even sure that the CC can accurately represent your cheeks. I can only see them in that one pic, but from my toying with the CC I don't think round cheeks like that can be created. I could be wrong - maybe a conjunction of low and forward cheekbones, narrow cheeks, and jowls could achieve it?

Modeling real people is by far the most difficult task I've attempted so far with the CC.

It's funny hearing both genders have struggles, because I'm a little jealous on how easy I can create females (I want my main character to be male). I find it easier to work with their head shapes, and their jaws/chins and such line up smoothly. I can make females look as cool as Cassandra. I feel like if I deviate too much with a male, they come out look all jagged and bony looking (not sure how to explain it). I've given up and just stuck with the main default (the space marine looking blockhead from the trailers). I can tweak his cheekbones and mouth and inner face, give him scars, but not much I can do otherwise. So much for customization.

The other face shapes for males are just hard for me to work with. They look bizarre. Some of them are shaped like Solas' head.. which is almost alien-like.

It's pretty good, except for the jawline I think. The selfquisitor model looks somewhat childlike because the jaw is too high and too angled. Your jaw is rounder (note the difference in chin width between your pic and your selfquisitor). So maybe lower and round the jaw/chin, bring down the mouth a touch to maintain proportion, and maybe tweak the width of the mouth? You're smiling in the pic so your mouth appears wide, but I wonder if your elf's mouth is still not wide enough? It's hard for me to tell. :)

In my case, my trouble was (a) learning to work with the CC options and (B) having intuitions about how the human face looked that didn't match up to reality (particularly width/height proportion and eye placement). So after learning the CC and researching facial proportions, I find it pretty easy to create male and female faces now. One interesting issue that just came up for me was my inability to create a particular kind of female face. There was a look that I was going for in a build of my third character, Kallionae, that I couldn't pull off, even in the latest build over in my proportion thread. Turns out it's because I didn't realize the look I was trying to achieve involved a concave cheek-mouth-chin structure. By default, the women have convex faces, and that's part of the reason we all struggle to avoid females that look like Danaerys (who has a very convex facial structure). So in my newest build I'm going to exaggerate a concave facial structure and test it on the build you've all seen.

I think the issue was that we were trying to go off that picture in combination with the way my cheeks look when I am not smiling.

Here's my profile from the side - with all that hair pulled back because of face paint.

So, taking this photo into account, the cheeks do match. For the other pic, I guess I needed a screenshot of the inquisitor smiling! ha

The face shapes for the male elves are easy for me to work with. The face shapes for the male humans are ridiculously limited. I think it's not the face, per say, but the fact that I can't adjust their necks.

Ah, yeah that makes a whole lotta difference. You pretty much nailed the cheeks then. The smile is what did it in the first pic.

This is dead on, in my opinion. I mean as dead on as you can possibly get in a video game!

I always make one character look like me. Well, at least they have something in common with me. So this is what I got In DAI:

Ilmari.jpg

In older games:

DA_selfie.jpg

The DA2 one looks very much like me, scary really. Although my beard is a "real" beard, not a stubble. The DAI face is a little too round or wide to make the character look like me...
