either all should be bi with more depth or no romances people are complaining from all sides

pro homosexual anti homosexual pro hetero & so on

Nononononono.

Orientation is part of who people are. Just having everybody be bi, while it could work with certain people, just doesn't work for others. It's awkward. It's TOO accepting and no concrete feelings could really be created as the LI could go any way.

If I could've romanced Meredith...I'd still be playing DA2

OT: I'd like to have someone like Isabela again, independent and never gets jealous

Emile De Launcet knows the score.

I wouldn't mind a stormier, more difficult romance ala Jaheira in BG2, though without the "OMG, my husband was murdered last week" element that was kind of creepy.  :D

But mostly, I'm just happy if they make good, well developed characters that enhance the story.

And if someoen told you the same re: ctering to non-Hetero males?

Incluvieness good. "Beat it straightboy" not so much.

I would say, play Bioware games.

If you don't like the characters then fine. It's not up to bioware to create characters that people might like. It's up to them to make characters that have their own personalities and realisitc looks. As they have done

I'd like the first scene of the next DA game to be the player being made into a eunuch.

I agree (Hell I tore into the whole "Cassandra's too mannish!" whining).

Just that sort of attitude on the forums issomethign I see enough to raise eyebrows. Doesn't endear the suppsesd majority to giving representation (which is deserved) to the minority who tries to act exclusionaryin turn. Two wrongs and whatnot.

A female version of Alistair would be pretty amazing.

Also, a dwarf male romance option would be pretty nice. And no, not someone like Oghren! :D

I like Dorian, but I'd like to see a more masculine, hirsute gay option.

First, and I don´t want by any means to come as homophobic, becase there are more heterosexual players than homosexual ones and since most complains about romances in this game have come and still comes from Straight males I would assume there are more heterosexual male players than heterosexual female and homosexual male and female players.

Second, because homosexual players and heterosexual females gets more options and better ones:

_Homosexual male: Gets Dorian (best character of the game and he is considered cute and hot) and Iron Bull (who is more of a comedy romance, his scene is awesome)

_Homosexual female: Gets Sera (fanservice), Josephine (averague)

_Heterosexual female: Gets the best options of the game: Blackwall (the older, strong and caring guy), Cullen (the "hollywood supermodel" romance), Solas (the best romance of the game for reasons I can´t say without giving spoilers)

Homosexual male: Gets Dorian, who some would consider cute and others consider stereotypical and not everyone finds attractive, and Bull, who, according to you, is more of a comedy romance

Homosexual female: Sera, who is almost nonsensical, and Josephine, who I think is a good romance option but she is one of the ones straight males are complaining about so

Heterosexual female has great options (although the two best options are race-gated), but this is partly because simply more of your followers are male. Solas' romance is pretty limited in scope but it is very fun.

Heterosexual male has a cute, girly option -> Josephine and an option that even though some say is manly reads romance novels and talks about love poetry, plus is essential to the plot.

Now that that's done with, back on topic:

Scout Harding needs to be a full romance option. She was so cute.

I do want to see a more masculine gay LI, but most of all I want to see a wide range of options for everyone.

Mostly I just want them to switch the archtypes up.

Let the f/f crowd get the Tsundere Melting Ice Queen (so I can get something else for once, I'll admit).

Let the shifty female rogue only like dudes.

And yeah, let the Knight in Shining Armor be gay.

I am basically convinced the writers focus more on the Male LIs (demographics and all), so I can't expect much, but they can at least switch what the rest of get up a little bit.

I want a cougar MILF that preys on my PC, for starters.

That's all I can think of at the moment, though I am sure there are others.

Not bad, not bad. In DA2, Fenryel's mom had it going on. Having already-established children in the relationship would also be a new thing for Bioware.

I've some oddball ideas, some deliberatly intended to confuse or discomfort people. So...

How about a human raised by an eccentric Dalish? A human born of an elf who is raised by an excentric/pariah Dalish Keeper to be 'elven' culturally and mentally? You could have a good nature vs. nurture conflict in that- ostracizing him/herself from humans because of the culture, but ostracized by other Dalish because of the blood.

I think Bioware could do justice to a 'Dear John' LI scenario, in which a companion has a pre-existing relationship that is troubled. The player could instigate and actively be the reason for the breakup, try to mend the relationship, or allow the relationship to fail and be there to pick up the pieces (and the heart). It would be a scenario that could not only work for both a romance arc and a friendship arc, but could have a fair deal of internal reactivity to shape how it progresses.

As for a third one...

I'd like to see a no-nonsense female dwarf romance, directly (and respectfully) initiated by the dwarf. As level headed, stable, and direct as the dwarves can be, with the largest drama being height drama (probably on the part of the PC). Just a case of 'I find you attractive, I'd like to invite you out on a date' of mature adults.

Straight females already had great options in DA:I, including the stereotype of good heart, blond, cute, hot, strong guy who is sweet in his inside in the form of Cullen, the "supermodel" romance.

As an straight male, what I want is basically that for straight males, a female version of the character of Cullen: an stereotypical cute, hot, sweet ("supermodel") girl to romance, because seriously Bioware, as much as I like the fact that now characters are way better written than in any previous game and as much as I understand the beneficts of the gated romances instead of that mess that was DA 2, the options for straight males in DA:I sucks, plain and simple: Cassandra is manlier than any male character of the game and doubles the age of half the characters and the own players, and Josephine is not a cute/hot girl by videogames standards (she is not horrible, she is simply averague) and her romance is very plain.

I understand why Leliana (my obvious choice before she was confirmed as not romanceable) is not romanceable, but take as example Miranda from ME 2, she was a good example of romance for an straight male in videogames, I would like something (and someone) like that in the next DA.

Keep this up, and chances are in the next game your only option for a straight male romance will be a female darkspawn (if that exist).

I don't know what the heck you are talking about. Josephine is a cutie and Cassandra's romance is extremely well written. And I wouldn't use Miranda as an example of a good romance. She might be vidya game hot, but the romance was pretty meh.

We are talking about the same guy here? The guy who is an addict and has PTSD? That Cullen?

They could bring back some older characters for a romance.  Bodahn would be a unique romance, the older guy with a child.  You have to win not only his approval but Sandal's as well as you get to be a stepmom for possibly a god.  Amethyne (Iona's daughter) is now ten years older and might be a challenge as an orphaned survivor of the siege of Denerim.  You've always have Bella the barkeep, or Charade, Dagna and others.  A romance with the barmaid/smith/minstrel gives us options rather than just our combat allies.

I shudder to think what a Bodahn romance would be like. He'd probably still be a source of things to buy, albeit at a reduced cost...or greater cost depending on how you look at it.

He's also one of the most grounded characters in the game, a single parent doing the best for his son.  They want a romance like nothing else you've seen a working dad doing everything he can to keep his boy fed would definitely be a change.  You've got a dwarf romance with a guy that doesn't have any real dirty secrets, but just wants what is best for Sandal.
