Have talked to both Dulin and Vartang...won the proving, now I can't progress to the next task. Neither one will talk to me now. What do I do?

I haven't had this problem as I learned to take Harrowment's quest-line as that opens up the proving ground early so you can get the "Key to the City" ring (+2 to all attributes).
