Hello, my question is do the passives in the archery skill tree apply when using daggers and vice versa?

Example. In the dagger tree there is a passive that increases your chance for a critical hit until you score one. Then it resets. If you have that skill but are using a bow will it still apply?

Thanks all.

Yes. Passives are weapon agnostic, see 2H Warriors using Shield Passives.

Yup, and it works incredibly well. It does however have a max-cap, not sure how much but 100% sounds about right. Thats easy to achieve though.

So is this confirmed? specifically pincushion as it states bows.

Also the contrary is true. For example something like Dance of Death is extremely useful on an Archer (sincerely I cannot either fathom an Assassin Archer build without that passive, since without it you don't have enough stamina to use stealth for damage effectively).

Anyway, both First Blood and Pincushion are two very powerful passives on a DW rogue (and sadly people usually don't take them because they don't know they are weapon agnostic).

Actually I don't think it has an hard cap (and IIRC this was debated sometime ago because just for this the skill was considered too powerful, i.e. people argued on the fact that Bioware should put an hard cap to it).

However practically you cannot go above a certain point given the duration (10 seconds). I don't know with DW what's the maximum number of attacks you can achieve in 10 seconds, but max 20 attacks (for 100% bonus damage total) sounds about right if you consider the end cycle of the animation (and on average you always use burst skills with a DW rogue - that require more time to use than normal attacks - and so you never reach that max potential).

EDIT: Now that I think of it, however, I wonder if a skill like Spinning Blades, for example, adds 5% to every hit with Pincushion. And Hidden Blades? If they do then you can reach MUCH more than 100% in those 10 seconds as SB does 9 hits in just a couple of seconds, and HB 6 hits in even less. If you use one after the other you practically reach already 15 hits in about 3-4 seconds. In this way you can easily reach 150% bonus damage (maybe more) by the end of the 10 seconds.
