I saw that too... That got to me a bit. BioWare really made a powerful game. The small stuff like that makes it that little bit more real.

The ****** Tranquil in this game are unnerving; they stir a primal fear within me. 

 

I don't like them and I don't want them in my keep.

The haunted chateau in the Emerald Graves.  That was place was straight-up unnerving.

Yes. I believe, when you get to the first fort from the starting camp, turn left down a path into the forest. I believe it is on the right. I THINK that is the place.

Ocularum reveal.

 

 

That house in the Emerald Graves with the little mage girl that was locked in her room by her parents and eventually got possessed by a demon and slaughtered everyone inside.

The first time Cole actively talked. So right when you get to Skyhold....I literally said "Well that's just a bit unsettling." to my computer. It was creepy enough to make me speak.

Creepiest and or most unsettling quest/encounter/conversation. Go.

Wasn't a quest, but a note. Found in fallow mire I believe (I could be wrong on location but I think it's way north east) you find a corpse and the note basically says they were trapped and out of food so they resorted to canabalism.

I ended up thinking Kieran was pretty endearing but they definitely got that "something's just a liiiiiittle off" vibe right for him, heh. There are some good ones (pretty much anything creeping around in the dark like the spider caves in the Storm Coast) but I'd pick the reveal of the Ocularums since I was happily just going along my completionist way when I hit that speed bump.

What was creepy about the Ocularums reveal? I thought you just got a bunch of useless loot. So glad I didn't waste my time with that one.

What the oculariums are made of krept me out, when you find the place in redcliff. Chateau in emerald graves for sure. Plus my party didn't banter, so it was quiiiet and creepy..

The creepy house (forgot full name) in The Emerald Graves is my number 1 with these all undead and music/sounds.

 

Also in Winter Palace there is place when you can see blood stains on floor and all people are just blind to it.  

 

Cole was a bit creepy too at first.

What isn't creepy about it? Maybe you should go to Redcliffe and have a look for yourself in that room.

I don't know about you, but the fact that an awful lot of Tranquils were evidently slaughtered just for their skulls creeped me out when I saw them all stacked up, etc.

The future Envy shows, Nightmares lair, Cole and Blackwalls banter on the lullaby, the tent in the Exalted Planes with a bunch of skeletons along with a childs skeleton and The Well.

I know what it would be if our PCs could watch the post-credits scene: Finding out your ex is the bogeyman.

 

As it is, maybe the whispers from lingering spell effects, and the scene when you drink from the Well, especially hearing what's being said when it's played in reverse.

I like cole, but some of the stuff is just messed up and sometimes down right creepy...

 

when you go to talk to him in the tavern at skyhold, he will always start off with a random thought, like "he thought he was alive, but he was really dead."  -sixth sense reference... a lot are movie references... one stood out to me as just plain creepy....  "He wanted to be his dad, but he was already his dad..."  yeah maybe i dont get the reference... but that just really stood out to me...

 

Viviene's whole personal quest was kind of creepy too...  I mean I know she was trying to save her lover and all, but the whole thing about trying to reverse age coupled with the very cheerful meeting with the duke's family just didnt sit well with me.

Creepiest: Probably Sera going nuts and beating that guy to death. She's yelling about him getting in your mind and controlling you right before she does it. Somebody needs to be on anti-psychotics.

 

I'm so numb to seeing corpses everywhere in a video game that I had the bloody teddy bear in my inventory for hours and I didn't even remember where I had picked it up until I read about the dead family on the BSN.

hissing wastes. harpo...who dis chantry sister is? it's...eerily beautiful there and then she is all "hey boo" like...you real loyal to the chantry and this spreading the chant of light thing huh?

the hunter's note in the Hinterlands. actually, the Hinterlands succeeds at just being overall creepy in broad daylight to me in certain areas. the energy there is so not namaste. felt like I needed to sage everybody down each time we returned to Haven.
