Just like with the party banter, music is bugged aswell. The music of Val Royaeux never played for me, I stood there for a hour, still no music. I do get music in Hinderlands and Storm Coast though.
Appreciation for the game music

I really like "In Hushed Whispers"

Sung to the same tune as "Val Royeaux" and "Orlais Theme". The latter is very grand.
Yeah all the tavern songs seem to be based off some actual soundtracks. Well maybe not all, Enchanters seems new.
Or oooh "The Dawn Will Come". Whenever I'm on the main menu now I started singing the lyrics to that.
Bioware, please make DA4 all about the Singquisition. Just a whole, 100 hour musical.

Its pretty good i agree, i only wish it would play more ambient music.
Yeah I agree with this. The music created for this game is fantastic, but for some odd reason while being walking in the game maps it sometimes is very quiet. Almost like they are ashamed of the music.
Really strange. I wish Bioware would let us enjoy the music a bit more other than at specific points/cut-scenes and loading screens. ![]()

Its not quiet, its a known bug among the community, one which we hope Bioware will fix as soon as possible.
There are save files around the internet (reddit) etc, download them and play their save file, you will see the main difference between the bugged games and the non bugged ones.

Oh really? So my save is just bugged? OK that explains it then I guess. I already thought it was strange.

I'm not sure I will check and edit this post.
Edit: No. I've got no music in Val Royaeux...
So I guess I've got this bug as well. O well. Let's wait for the patch then I guess.

Damn, incase your wondering what your missing, here is a link to a ingame footage for the Val Royaeux music.
Speaking of patch, has Bioware even aknowledged that they are working of fixing the music bug? I have only seen them talk about party banter.

Love all the music, actually listene to some of the tavern songs. "Rise" "Once We Were" are some of the really nice ones, if you just listen to the lyrics, it can say so much

I love the music, I just wish I could hear it much more often in the game. The music fades out too quickly and for long periods of time.
