Is it impossible to just have bare skin on a character's chest, arms, legs, feet, etc?
I cannot come up with any type of armor that isn't covered in cloth from neck down to the toes. Only thing I can get bare are hands.

The game doesn't come with much flexibility in visible/invisible armour parts. What you'd need to do is start from a nude base (Skins For All Races is a good compilation of several nude bases). If you just want to have a nude character, that's all you need to do. The nude armour variations will appear as options in the Armour Set tab of the properties. If you want to have just a bare chest or bare legs or something else, then you'd need to create armour variations that put those pieces over the nude base.
Thank you all! I literally went through every variation of clothing, just to see what all was available and there actually is quite a bit of versatility - much more than I initially thought.
I also learned that this game must have been designed to run on a Cray-1, as changing colors on a piece of armor causes my modern gaming computer to behave like someone kicked it between the legs. And sadly, doesn't even result in much of a color change. If I pick pink, I want pink, man! Not the original brown looking like someone washed a little water color over it.
Sometimes the changes don't even refresh, kind of a frustrating exercise, but still glad I did it.
Windows 8 seems to have some issues with refreshing things like tints; it often only updates every other change and at other times not at all. I never had this issue with Windows 7 and its become a royal nuisance. ![]()
As for tinting producing mixed results, I think the game does a blend between the underlying color and your selection. The base tint needs to be a light grey in order to get good matches.
