Greetings,
The letter "A Letter to Revered Mother Giselle" contains a possible grammatical error. In the second sentence of the second paragraph the letter reads, "I would that you were here with me at the Temple of Sacred Ashes." Not too sure if that is on purpose or if it is in error. It's a minor error, but figured I would post it.

It's an old-fashioned use of 'would', which is a form of 'will' - according to the Oxford English Dictionary:
"Desire, wish for, have a mind to, ‘want’ (something);
1682 J. Bunyan Holy War 124 He would that Captain Credence should join himself with them."
