Did you use ModManagerV2? Some people had this problem when they used the old Version of the ModManager.
Seems to be the problem. Thanks.
Downloaded the mod. No banter increase.
I'm doomed to never play this.

Before Patch 4 i had no problem with party banter. Since Patch 4 i can play hours and there is zero party banter.
It's a shame. So much work has been done for this party banter system. So much written lines of story, so many voice actors. And now it's broken. By a patch. It's worth a super-fast special once-and-for-all HOTFIX asap. ![]()

I got the banter to work using that save editor file, but before I did that:
1. I sacrificed a chicken in pure Sonteria voodoo magic.
2. Faced north and flung the ashes of old pet squirrel.
3. Sang the Beatles, "Hey Jude" in nothing, but a towel
4. Then loaded Divinity: Original Sin because this crap is ridiculous.

I read that last line in Greg Ellis' voice.
Dear Bioware
If you awesome people fix the banter problems we're having, I'll personally send 1000 assorted pies to your offices
Spoiler
One would think seventy bucks were enough.
Okay, last patch broke banter completely for me.
It was rare before but now its basically nonexistence...
Come on Bioware... How about you talk with us SPs too and not only with the MP people?
*frustrated*

I understand your frustration, but know that the MP is also very problematic, and i personally have not really been able to get a match not bug into oblivion in days. And i do believe there are different teams working on the different game modes. I also suffer from the banter bug, always have, and i am frustrated to all hell with it. Enough to actually shelf the game until it's fixed. However i do agree that at least the MP scene gets the occasional reply or a word from the higherups. :<

Oh I occasionally play MP too (and I'm well aware of the MP problems) and I think they should talk to the MP people!
But not only maybe? ![]()
Its not only about repairing the bugs since yes, that are different teams, but about BIOWARE getting a community manager whose job it is to TALK TO THE COMMUNITY. Tell us whats going on, what bugs they are working on, what will be in the next patch, when does it come. You know what I mean.
Its nice that Allen and some other Devs come by and talk in some threads... But damn it - that's not their job.
Back to topic: This banter bug is very frustrating...
Snip
True true. It has been painfully clear how needed communication is with the developers. The MP team seems to be communicating now. I haven't really followed those forums in a while, but last i checked there was some communications. We, here on the SP front, however are as in the dark as always. Allan is indeed pitching in every now and then, but from what i gathered(don't quote me on that) he isn't actually on any of those teams. He is just doing it on his own free time. Hats off to that, but it sadly doesn't make things better.
At this point I personally, and the community at a guess, would just like a couple of words from someone in the dev team. I remember them saying that "actually saying" things is binding for the company, placing them in a position of, i don't know how to word it, really. Needing to do what they said? And if this kinda doesn't work out as intended then they are gonna be responsible for it. Sure, i understand that. I don't question it. But a mere "we're trying, guys" would be appreciated.
“Doesn’t always trigger”, whaddaya know.
Awesome =D It's working for me

Now all we need is a way for that command to fire up automatically every 10~15 mins and we're all set ![]()

Give it about a day. Will be sorted. This is why modders are something gaming will never not need! Feel bad for the console brothers and sister ![]()
i have a dream that one day i will hear banter
This actually works perfectly. My god. Doesn't look like it's THAT difficult to accomplish. *sigh*
Thanks for the link. More banter *yay*
Edit: Hm, doesn't work for me. I can check all the other boxes, but not the banter trigger box. And I have no banter when i press the hotkey in-game ![]()
Work!!! God, bless the modders s2

Make sure you follow the instructions, like adding the DAI exe using the computer sign. Also, it is stated that even when the times reaches 0 (which is what this trigger does), it can still fail, so you might wanna do it again and again, waiting like 5 secs in between just in case. I sometimes have to press it 5 times in a row for banter to trigger. Shows how flawed the system is

Thanks for your tips, but it's a pointer problem with the game. I have to search for the banter file and change the pointer in the CheatEngine Table as it seems ![]()
Edit: Found the problem and it's working now. Just in case someone has the same problem here is what I needed to do:
Looks like the mod is working for me too
So happy!
The mod is so awesome it's hard to express....someone should pay you for fixing what they couldn't or wouldn't. Ily right now
