sorry to bump such an old post but uh, yeah, I can't manage to romance him farther either, unless I'm just doing something wrong. 

 

I've gotten up to the "assassination" scene with him and after that nothing, the only new anything I've gotten for dialogue with him is him talking about banging women in the Skyhold tavern x,x 

 

I haven't romanced anyone else besides Cullen, only as a joke because as a male inquisitor you can't actually romance him and he turns you down so I don't expect that actually effects your romance with someone else, I've had Dorian in my party but only once with Bull and they didn't share any banter together - by now I've even finished the story quests and have killed another dragon and grinded Venatori in The Hissing Wastes and I'm not even getting approval from him anymore - should I just reload my save from right before I started his first sex scene? ;//

You finished the story quests as in finished the game? If so, all the companion interactions would end once the game is over.

yeah, I tried everything before and then finished the story, only to see if it would give me new dialogue or cutscenes.

Hhmm I just started a romance with IB a second time (first time was a failure) and I just got the first sex scene with him. This is what I did.

After recruiting IB I went through all his dialogue options in Haven including the flirt options.

Took him with me on all quests just to help with approval during side quests in Hinterlands. Talk to Bron after building watchtowers with IB in your party, help people at the crossroads (guy who needs medicine for his wife, and the guy you give ram meat to) those got his approval for me also do the horse races.

Took him with me on In Hushed Whispers and conscripted the mages. Judge Alexius and behead him.

Went ahead and got Skyhold and met the chargers and went to Crestwood to meet Hawke with IB in my party asked Alistair if the calling controls the wardens (for some reason that got Bulls slight approval) also say the wardens are desperate (top dialogue choice) that also gains Bulls slight approval.

After that I went back to Skyhold and got Bulls companion quest and secured alliance with the Qunari afterwards apologized to Bull about losing his men. Went up on the battlements with him and flirted immediately after that I got the 1st sex scene (talk to him in tavern for it to start it'll just go into the scene)

Now I believe after the 1st sex scene you go talk to him again in the tavern and you'll get a heart option (we need to talk) or something like that.

However after the 1st sex scene I had to get off cuz my kids woke from their nap and I was unsure of the level of adult content I was about to see, so ill wait till later tonight and see if I'm able to get the heart option (we need to talk) which I'll post my results tonight

Hope this helps, I was able to trigger it without killing any dragons, in fact I was a level 8 when the romance officially started (yea I was rushing it )

I maxed his approval, but I can't tigger his last mission. I read elsewhere that you can trigger it soon in the game if you kept flirting with him and you have max approval (it doesn't say anymore "Iron Bull approve" when it should), but he don't give me the quest.

 

I suspect a BUG because I romanced Dorian but I stopped the romance. Now Dorian's Tarot is the romance one, but I'm not in romance with him... even worse if I try to romance him I'm stuck because it seems the game know that I'm not in a romance with him but there is some "romance flag" activated that prevent me to break or confirm a romance with dorian.

 

I tried contacting the Help Center, but they only said: "repair the game".

Obviously it didn't work. Dorian it's still in loop and Iron Bull, at the moment didn't give me the quest...

 

Now I am after Wicked Eyes and Wicked Heart... maybe for Iron Bull it's still to early... there is someone that can tell me when the quest will appear?

 

EDIT: Sorry, I was online with the Help Canter (useless for this issue) and I didn't see Deanna post. So, I'm right that there is a bug, because I'm much ahead than that point

Ok just updating my post from earlier. I did get the heart option with Bull (we need to talk) after the first sex scene. Which the first time I romanced him I did not get it so this is a plus for me. Going to go ahead and do Winter Palace quest.

Also first time I romanced Bull was on my first PT and I didn't take him with me on that quest not knowing about the balcony scene, so it should be interesting to see how that goes...oh God do they dance? Two Qunari dancing would be weird lol..no don't tell me I wanna see myself

In theory you can dance with your love at the end... but as I am in my Dorian limbo, I didn't even try...

There's a Dorian AND Iron Bull romance? This is possible, I was flirting with Iron Bull while still with Dorian. Could it be stuck in limbo because I started that and broke up with Dorian?

Yes. Let's just say their romance doesn't exactly work out.
