"Never trust half an elf" .
I've always found this one curious. There aren't many half elves that we know of in the Dragonverse, except for Feynriel and Alistair.
Alistair is...Well, Alistair, so I can't really see him as a threat in any scenario (except maybe for a hardened King Alistair who rules alone).
But Feynriel...
Apostate from Kirkwall, always prey to demons in his dreams and he can also travel to Tevinter if you help him out.
Also a big sidemission was dedicated only to his sub-plot in DA2. Wouldn't it be cool if Cole was really referring to him?
Both worlds is probably referring to the physical world and the Fade. Solas means pride in the elven language.
"She knows they're going to kill her, can only save what's important. Precious space to remember her smile."
Sucker Punch?
When did Legacy suggest this?
If you wait before attacking some of the Carta near the beginning, they apparently mention that he's half-elven?

Terribly sorry, forgot this was non-spoiler.
Amended.
"She knows they're going to kill her, can only save what's important. Precious space to remember her smile."
I can't quite place this. I'm fairly certain the reference is to a woman deciding whether or not she has space for an old photograph while trying to pack a few important things in a hurry. The scenario sounds so familiar, but I can't recall what it is.
YES! That jogged my memory. This is the end of Terminator.
In the Trespasser DLC, Cole says this:
"It was the same boy. His mother on the ship. His father in their homeland. He grew up lonely, or didn't."
This sounds a lot like Mr. Nobody. The film shows several alternate timelines. At one point, the main character's parents get divorced and he either goes away with his mother or stays behind with his father. It's not an exact match though. His mother goes away on a train, not a ship, but it's possible that was changed just because there are no trains in Thedas.
These are the ones I'm pretty sure about:
- "He hunts the killer, but he's the one who killed her. He can't remember." – Memento
In "Memento" the main character wasn't the killer, no? At least not the original murderer. One of my favorite movies- would be annoying if I've missed that. The quote sounds more like the movie "Angel Heart," an old '80s Mickey Rourke film about a detective who slowly uncovers that he's the killer and has been covering his own tracks along the way during the investigation. It's a narrative plot that's been repeated elsewhere though, I'm pretty sure.

No in Memento he (accidentally) killed his wife, thanks to his short term memory.
In tresspassers
"He dies in a dark space so a blue rose could grow"- Sounds like Charr dying in ME3, since he calls his wife the Blue Rose of Illium.

And she was implied to be pregnant by then.

I think that's another Mass Effect. There's a quarian boy, Jona, whose mother was killed in the events leading to Tali's loyalty mission ('on the ship') in ME2 and whose father died on Rannoch ('in their homeland') in ME3.
In Trespasser, Cole says "Sometimes the cow takes your gold". That's a reference to the Shifty Looking Cow from ME1 which would steal your credits.

Spoiler
Long term memory loss- heh. Thanks for the correction. Damn- gotta watch it over. Not sure if I just didn't remember or never really got it...

This is so much better than what I thought it was!
I thought it was a play on the phrase "Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?" Like, if you buy the cow (get married), you may end up divorced, and the cow takes your gold and your favorite Zither t-shirt just to spite you.

ANd he either ended up an orphan ("he grew up lonely"), or was killed when the fleet was destroyed ("or didn't")
He also makes a reference (in Trespasser) to the Asari in the hospital in ME3 (Something about killing the girl so she could live, and something about a gun... It was yesterday, I can't remember properly).
I was waiting for him to say something about said girl being Joker's sister (same planet, same name... Is it meant to be her?)

I don't think he mentions a gun (which would be pretty jarring in Dragon Age), but he does mention "waiting for her eyes to turn black" and killing the girl so she could live. It's definitely ME3.
Ah, the reference was to a weapon, not a gun. My brain went to gun because she was constantly asking for one ![]()
I like this one from Trespasser:
"If you leave and come back, the chest gives you another. That's how we all know too much."
I think I'm missing the obvious but what exactly is this a reference to?
