Does the wheel of cheese shield count?
I'd say so. I know there are apparently a lot of reason for cheese references, but this on in particular made me think of 'The Pick of Destiny', the Jack Black film. I love that cheese wedge.

I like the "I'll get you a ladder to get off my back" ladder in the Western Approach. Reference to the infamous player VO line from Origins and I think earlier games as well.

One of Dagna's ambient dialouge: "What about..... Pinkquisition?"
Also if you talk to her about runcrafting, she ends her explanation with "You'll see"
Occassionally, though, it will end with "You'll see...they'll all see *evil laughter*"

In the Temple of Dumat, one of the memory crystals has Coryspittle talking about not hearing Dumat and he says, "Silence has fallen." Most likely just a coincidence, but I wonder if it was possibly an homage to Doctor Who.

Does the corpse in Pools of the Sun/Emprise du Lion holding a sword above the lake surface also count as an Arthurian Easter Egg? It's not on the wiki.....
Found it north of the second dragon just a bit east of the road. My current char doesn't have the strength to enter here (she's lv 5).

There's one I noticed, but I got slapped with the ban hammer for pointing it out before. Suffice it to say, it has something to do with one of Cassandra's many middle names. And that's all I'm saying.
I'm not even ashamed to admit that it took me googling each of her middle names individually until I understood what you were talking about.

There's a Codex in the Western Approach that is rife with Transformers references.
"And as I walked in the desert, I saw a great armored figure whose form blotted out the sky. At first I took it to be no more than met the eye, a simple spiked statue, but as I approached, this deceptive icon transformed into a warrior as graceful as it was massive, its bladed staff leveled at me with energy crackling from its tip. Though my position was hardly optimal (primal magic burned a few feet from my face), I kept my wits and asked this mighty golem to show me mercy.
The armored figure spoke with a voice to make the sky quake and the stars scream. It sought magic to keep itself alive, it said, and the blood of the earth was the energy on which it survived. Having knowledge of the dwarves and the lyrium they provided to our mages, I directed the golem to the mage Atronis (note: anagram for "Is Megatron"), who lived in nearby Perivantium, and it left without another word.
That is the inspiration for the gate guardians I have designed, as fanciful a tale as it might seem. As for why I have asked that each guardian cast from my designs be inset with a small lyrium rod, I must primarily state that it is mere fancy. If Archon Ishal, gentle autocrat that he is, sees fit to ensure that my statues are known across the empire—I hear that one shall stand in the Western Approach—I would treasure the small hope that someday, I might see one walk again."

"Mage Atronis" is not an anagram for 'is megatron'. Unless the anagram is supposed to be 'is a Megatron'. Actually, given that there is a capital 'A', it could be an anagram for 'A megatron is', which might be a reference to Yoda. Or perhaps some of the other words are part of the anagram?

Oh Lordy, I forgot about the extra A! Clearly that destroys the entire reference!
I'll go give myself a hundred lashes as an act of contrition!
I don't think the friction from the lashings, is worth the attrition of Transformers references. ![]()

Talk to Cole. He's one giant easter egg.
Yeah, he comes up with so many references to films, books, other games etc. At first I hadn't quite caught on and just though it was random ramblings. Then he explained what Rosebud meant....

Found this Iron Man easter egg in the Frostback Basin in a cave that was ridiculously hard to get to. Sadly, I don't remember where it was. Don't know if it was a bug or deliberate, but my health suddently started dropping when I entered (hence the skull portrait of my quizzie).

Yes! This! I just found it today (in part since I had to wait until Tuesday to play it, silly PS4) and I died.
That codex is the greatest thing that has ever happened. Storvacker as Regina George. "One time she met Alistair, and he told her she was pretty"
Edit:
I'm not even ashamed to admit that it took me googling each of her middle names individually until I understood what you were talking about.
Oh. I think I just got it.

At Griffen wing keep I seem to recall there is a Sargent McNasty asking recruits what are the three weapons of the inquisition, they answer, fear, surprise and really nice uniforms. That's likely the reference your thinking of.
All the drill instructors quote random lines from Monty Python. I noticed that one, but there's also the guy in Haven discussing the wisdom of advance preparedness, one in the Hinterlands, and one in the Emprise. I adore those guys.

So I found this cave and checked it out (it's just above the place where the fade-touched creature is, the one nearest to first camp).
My health did not drop, so it might be a bug o.o
