Is this stat only useful for physical damage dealers? Does it do anything for spell casting or something like elemental mines or poisons? I have a ring with 20% armor pierce and trying to decide who all to use it on.

Does nothing for non-physical damage whatsoever. It also doesn't increase your damage output by even half a percent against enemies with no armor (mages) or barriers.

It would be best suited for warrior my warrior inquisitor drops a Dragons armour with 2 shield bashes
