I am also getting the "code already in use" message. While installing my game I logged into my account to register the game/promo codes (including the Cerberus Network, as per the instructions). Everything went smoothly. However, when I log into my account via the game, Cerberus asks for the activation code, and then tells me "key code already in use"!



If it thinks the code is already in use, then the code I entered must be 'somewhere', right? And the only place it could be would be in my account. Patch the game to communicate that fact and we are good to go! =) (And for the love of god, hurry! >.<)

I got the same problem what a **** up man, it has nothing to do where we bought the game its the damn social site accepting the cerbrus code on the social site, and not activating so the ingame menu knows the card is actually registered to you

Registered Cerberus code in game, No activation of news or Cerberus DLC but can use Dragon /termininus /collectors DLC . When I try to enter again it tells me that it's already in use.

same as others , can redeem and get Blood dragon/collector's armor but did not get code for terminus and after using Cerberus code in game while loged in, it told me on a second attempt tis already in use, yet cannot download, it tells me to buy it or to redeem code.

I managed to download one of the 2 DLC items I was supposed to get, but I started to get weird sounds from the website, so I closed it after completing the first download and installed it. I now cannot get the 2nd DLC item.

Just allow you to get the initial DLC and then download others for a fee

Put this into the 'bad access code' thread until I saw this one. Placing this into the correct category to be handled.



Retail CE, bought through Amazon. Entered the network access code into my Bioware profile, did not get any link to the .exe file for the Cerberus access patch, and now code will not work in-game. Adding my name to the list for hopeful resolution!

As with mostly everyone else, I logged into my Bioware Social Network account, redeemed my Collector's Edition, Pre-order, and Cerberus codes. In the list of DLC, I have the two special armors, but none of the extra Cerberus DLC. When I entered the code in in the main menu (under the activate Cerberus menu), it tells me it is already in use.

Here's a step-by-step for me:

1. Started Installing Mass Effect 2: Collector's Edition on my PC
2. Logged onto my account here and registered my copy of ME2: CE for PC
3. Redeemed code for Terminus Armor and Collector's Edition Items
4. Redeemed code for Cerberus Network, and it gave me the link to the Collector's Edition Item Download
5. Started ME2 up after install completed and logged into this account ingame
6. It asked me to redeem my Cerberus Network card, and tells me the code has already been used

Exact problem here as well.  Number 4 seems especially curious.  I have a card that has a code for the collector's edition rifle and armor, but it appears you don't need it since cerberus activation gives it to you.  I redeemed it anyway though.  I demand Paragon points.

I got mine at a midnight release. I followed the instructions for the Terminus Gear and downloaded it and then entered my Cerberus code and downloaded Zaeed and Normandy crash site. When I finally loaded up the game, I went to enter my code to activate my Cerberus Network and got the 'key in use already' error. I can't access my new content or the Terminus Gear in game at my private terminal!



Also, I haven't played ME1 since 2008, and sold it, and I guess I missed an update via xbox live for the Import Save File, and so ME2 cannot detect a saved character...



Sad launch day for me, please help =/
