Installed ME2, went to use my cerberus card in the game. Entered it, nothing happened. Tried it again. Says key in use.

For the PC Collector's edition (retail box), I used my Collector's edition armor and assult rifle code to activate Cerebus with my EA account. That worked.  The Cerebus code from the box actually gave me Collector's armor from Bioware's social site.

So it looks like the codes got mixed up for PC Collector's editions (retail box).

Funny, doing it in-game simply failed for my DD version. And the Social site entry worked.

Couldnt redeem code on social site but was able to connect in game menu. Only got the Normandy crash site DLC. Nothing more.

I had the same problem as most here. Confirmed the codes on the Bioware site, then when I logged in it told me my key was in use.



Why are we using so many different accounts? Sigh.

The problem is that when you use the site to redeem the code, it sends you to a link to download the Collectors Armor and Weapon..it seems to treat cerb. network code like the code you get for the collectors armor. The problem is that, when you get the main menu of the game, and you click to use Cerb Network, it asks you for the code that you had already registered on site and when you enter it tells you the code is already in use, thus preventing you from accessing the Cerberus Network.

I got the Collectors Edition from Best Buy in North Carolina, USA.  It's not that the network doesn't show up, it's that it won't let anyone connect because it won't except our keys, says they are already in use.

Activated on social network - Gave me a Collector's armor download option - I don't think i actually used my Collector's armor code. The Collector's Armor and Blood Dragon armor seem to have installed OK, but I cannot log into Cerberus Network as I get a code already in use message. Help please, I don't really want to pay for this twice.

UPDATE: Tried entering my Collector's edition code into the cerberus field, it took it and I seem to be on the cerberus network now.

I purchased PC Collectors Ed from the EA Store.

Entered the Cerberus activation code on the Social Network site along with the Collector Armor Code while the game was installing (already had account from having installed Dragon Age).



Cerberus code said "Activated Collector's Armor / Rifle" (or whatever it says similar to that).



When able to enter game, tried going in through the Cerberus interface.

Message came up saying "code in use".

Had no problem accessing either the collector or blood dragon armors.



Hoping a fix is forthcoming shortly.

I registered my key online and everything, downloaded all the content and installed it, and then when I go to log into my EA account in ME2 it says "please wait..." forever.

lol. Yeah, people attempting to connect to the EA server right now at all are getting "please wait..." forever, then "Couldn't connect to the Mass Effect 2 server, please try again later." etc.



Buncha people I know were able to do it as soon as the game launched, but it looks like the poor server is so flooded it's failing.



Annoyin' though, but at least I'm not as boned as the people before me.

Redeemed on social network before in game like almost everyone one here, cannot check if actually work correctly, for some reason, Cerberus network seem to be down from where I am. But guess will be in same trouble then most once it become available if that downtime is not to correct the fault mentioned in this tread.

From what it looks like if you redeem the Cerberus card first, it unlocks the armor instead. If you unlock the armor first, the Cerberus code gives a fatal error URL, then when you try to re-enter it, the redeem page tells you that it is already in use. Booting up the game and inputting it there also says it is in use. Way to go, whoever came up with Cerberus. Instead of screwing over people planning to buy the used game, you just screwed over the ones who bought it new as well.

This is by far worse than the DA:O issue though.

this is the error I got when I first input my Cerberus code. After this, it tells me that it's already in use when I re-enter it.

That's what happened to me.

Same problem here. All the other codes that come with the Collector's Edition retail worked perfectly for me until I made the "mistake" of using the CN code there at the site instead of in game apparently. What a mess.

I'll try what some of the rest of you did and put the other codes in that CN field in the game and see what happens. Since everything else worked great I have nothing to lose at this rate.

For me, everything is there as it should be but I don't think it would list "Cerberus Network" would it?

Anyways, none of the codes did anything in the CN network setup in game. I've registered here and at EA like people talked about and now I guess I have to wait 24 hours to see if it worked or not.

It'll be interesting to see how we get around this "code already in use" trick simply because a bunch of us made the "mistake" using the CN code here at the site instead of in game when it really shouldn't matter. The system should be intuitive enough to connect the dots IMO once the account is tied up.
