I will not be buying any more DLC. how do I know if those will work? No I am not taking chances I think it is best to save my cash.

Well, I bought my mass effect 2 when it came out a while ago. I got it working, including importing my old me1 character. It was awesome, i got really far, then i figured i would stop playing for a while, and savour the ending for a later date, I just reinstalled my ME2 copy on steam. I logged onto my EA account when i prompted too, thne put in my cerberus code, tried logging in, and now it says that my code is in use. I thought perhaps i needed to redeem my promo code, so i logged onto my bioware profile to redeem the code for ME2, when prompted i put in the code(which is one of three codes i recieved from steam upon purchasing ME2), and it said the code was redeemed. So i log on to my ea account on ME2, and it still says the code is in use?
I need some support Bioware, what in the hell is going on????

My problem was the exact same as everyone elses. Didn't feel the need to say the same thing. Came back because I found my solution over at ea.com and hopfully this will help at least a few. My email here was different than the one I did over there.

Ok, Thank you static foil. You helped me find a solution to the exact problem the previous 19 pages have been discussing. I also put in my cerb number inthe wrong spot and could not get any downloads.....my path to success for me
1 turn off auto login as discribed in post above (in options)
2 restart game
3 select new contnet availible
4 My anti-virus gave me an error here. This time I ignored it and clicked go to website
5 navigate to www./bioware.com
6 now goto http://social.biowar...ntitlements.php
7 my downloads were there since I arrived there already logged in thru the game

I'm getting the code is in use error for my cerebus activation on PC. I have mass effect 2 on xbox so i think my EA account has associated the cerebus code with my xbox and not my pc ? Any ideas how to fix this?

Hello, Bought the game some few months ago in 2010, the cerberus code went without any registration if i remember correctly. Now that i started playing ME2 again, it wants me to login EA wich i did (created this account) and when redeeming the code, i get "key in use". Even if i had made a profile back when i got the game i have absolutely no clue about my password or username.
I dont even have any earlier e-mails from EA or BioWare. Am i doomed?

I think I got it....Just log in the game, with your Bioware account.

Note: Even if it says that the codes Expired on January 1, 2012... They are still USABLE.
...I just manage to make my Cerberus Code and my Collector Set to work (I only needed to log with my Bioware account, instead of my EA account....but I think that they are the same...haven't really checked...)
And on the back of the card, it says it expired on Jan 1, 2012...
Now, I wonder if I will see my Collector Armor...
EDIT: I found my Collector armor (Chitin thing armor) in the captain quarter's closet and the weapon that goes with it is available.
