Zone of the Enders is perhaps one of the most underrated games in existence. ZOE and ZOE The second runner. It also has had anime adaptions such as Dolores and IDOLO. Unlike Gundam or Armored Core, ZOE is not known by the general  mecha gamer. It does have a small fan base and two games.

The series's main machine is called Jehuty, an advanced Orbital Frame.

I wonder.

Has anyone ever played the games are watched the anime.

I have and played 2nd runner, and yeah it was pretty great, I did a run on every difficultly if I remember correctly. I never played the other game or watched the anime though...

One of Kojima's lesser known projects.

The mechs actually did kind of look a bit like Xeno-style mechs, more sleek less bulky.

Honestly the best part was fighting like 50 million enemies at one point because you were so powerful.

Although the main character's name was Dingo =/, can't say I was a fan of that.

I'm considering picking up the HD Collection for PS3 at some point. The collection had performance issues when it was released, but the PS3 version received a patch that fixed the issues.

Sadly they stopped work on the third one, last I've heard.

It's cheap now. I will pick up the HD collection since I no longer have a PS2. :(

That's what I love about Jehuty. Sleek and badass looking. Shame though her first runner was a kid.

Happens a lot in mecha though.

I did.

I played that edition that brought the demo of MGS 2.

The demo was totally worth it.

I've only played ZOE2, I love the gameplay, story and most of all the mech designs.

Ardjet is just pure awesome! <3
Too bad we don't get too see much of her. Its a tie between Nepthis and Jehuty for second for me.

I don't think it's on PC. It's a PS2 game.

Zero shift was a very cool mechanism I wish more games adopted.

Yep, the HD collection was made to gauge interest in a third one and it did not meet the sales number they were shooting for.  :(

At least the resolution was satisfactory.

Also, I recommended these games to Mr. No Touch (simfam) a while back. Maybe this thread will make him get around to playing them XD

The second runner's controls even put Dynasty Warriors Gundam's and Armored Core's to shame.

Jehuty was one of the more powerful orbital frames and was treated as such. However, that didn't mean you were unstoppable.

I also enjoyed how the machine also got hit with problems in the game. It brought some realistic

He's angry that I haven't gotten around to LOTGH yet.

 sense to it.

They were also briefly mentioned in ZOE Dolores, I. That the Jehuty recovery operation was a failure and later on to Rebecca that the pilot was the same age as her.
