I'm fairly certain I picked archer. Even though you can still use daggers, I don't have any points in the dagger tree. The archery tree has a blue symbol/flag thing, which I'm pretty sure means it's my main (if it means it's the one I didn't pick then kindly ignore this post)
On my "switch character" screen, it shows the tarot card for daggers. This is the one thing I know for sure is wrong, because I made sure to be very careful about picking archer on a new character, but the tarot showed as dual wield. At the party, I keep getting daggers equipped to me when I don't even have any in my inventory. The end cinematic thing killing the arch demon dragon had my character using daggers.

While on the topic, is there anything other than that one stealth move that can execute a melee attack with a bow in hand?
