If there's one massive thing I have to say that's positive, in regards to Inquisition it's this:
THANK YOU for continuing to be inclusive.
Not just the inclusion of different sexualities, but for featuring dialogue about sexuality, confronting homophobia (in game, as part of storytelling) and incuding a transmale character (!!). I haven't discovered very much, yet, and I certainly haven't encountered everything that's been written in and around these characters and issues, but I wanted to still give my absolutely resounding YES. PLEASE KEEP DOING THIS. Do more of this in the future. Don't ever stop. These things may seem small, and they may seem insignificant, but I have to tell you that they are absolutely not.
I know this thread is going to turn into a nightmare-- a collection of voices saying there wasn't enough inclusion or the inclusion didn't go too far or the inclusion is unnecessary or even disgusting. These opinions are valid and I'm sure there may even be some good points made.
I don't care to hear it, truthfully.
I just wanted to say yes.
And thank you.
And please.
Representation matters. It doesn't even have to be a big thing (confronting Dorian's homophobic family took all of five minutes, and I found it succinct, compelling, and true) and in fact, it shouldn't be a big thing. Whatever you take away from this topic, take away that I and entire communities of people are thankful just for being seen and we want more.
