1. WAY more variety in terms of PC armor. There is no reason for ten different armors to look the exact same way with only a few embellishments added. I only recently found the Dalish scout armor, and I'll be in it for the rest of the game - my Inquisitor's Dalish, dammit. I'm tired of trench coats and boots. Give us some more unique armor, or allow us to choose from different styles relating to our race when we go to craft new armor.
2. Add an option for us to apply a companion's armor style to our outfit in the form of a rune purely dedicated to style, which would mean adding an optional rune slot. I know this might take away from the individuality of the characters, but Origins let you throw your companions into anything as long as they could meet the skill requirement for it. You could all skip merrily to fight the Archdemon in Chasind robes if you wanted to.
3. In addition to the above: Remove armor restrictions. I feel as if armor restrictions based on the holy trinity are a bit outdated, and they're even more frustrating coming from Origins. If players want to toss all their characters into robes, I say let them figure out how to manage DPS and aggro with it.
4. More schematics for other armor. I'd love to wear different versions of the armor we see on people throughout the game - instead, we're stuffed into the same armor we get in Haven for half the game. It's nitpicky, but I get tired of the same look day to day. And you have the models for the armors already taken care of - just incorporate them into schematics.
5. Change. The default. Inquisitor. Pajamas. Running about in Skyhold with that drab gray thing on all the time is making cutscenes awkward. Let us choose what we want to wear, and let us color it and customize it as well. The thing that BioWare seems to have forgotten in this game is that the PC needs a choice of personal style too - not just the companions. The neck makes my head look weird, too.
6. Get over your fear of necks. More armors that show off the neck a bit would be nice. I know they're trying to hide the neck seam, but they don't bother on some NPCs.
