So, I just completed the main storyline today and after the credits them game came back on to continue to let me play but, now almost everything is gone. My throne, decorations, everything in the undercroft and NPCs and also my companions that are left won't say anything to me. Is this a glitch or is this just the way that it is after you beat the game? Thanks for reading.

From what I'm reading on the forum, that is happening to everybody after they complete the main story line.

I'm not sure whether or not this is intentional or just a bug, I'm willing to bet that it is intended. The Scout Harding flirting ends abruptly because of this and speaking to romances post-ending makes it feel as if you hadn't initiated one at all. I hope its just a bug to be fixed and if it is not, that it can be patched/changed somehow. Without the dialogue post-ending feels a little bland.

In all seriousness, I don't think the game is intended to be playable after you beat it. Its just a launch point for DLC or an expansion. Weird that they remove your stuff though, that sounds more like a bug.

The same happened in my game, but when I re-loaded the post-main story save later on everything was back to normal. (All the people and furniture were where they were supposed to be, the Undercroft is outfitted the way it was before the final boss.) Only difference is that the companions deliver a last bit of dialogue to which I can't reply anymore instead of offering real conversations. I had exhausted all dialogue options though, so at least for me that's no big deal.

 

So maybe try closing the game and re-loading, or leaving Skyhold and coming back.
