Hey guys, I'm playing a female qunari after playing the for a few hours and cutscenes I realized my qunari's horns are not going well with my appearance(especially my face) I want to change it. Since I've played for a few hours I don't want to start all over again for this reason. Is there an option or a shop of some kind(like Black Emporium in DA 2) to change my character's appearance in middle of the game? If so please let me know. Thank you in advance ![]()

No...once you start there is no way back only to start over, i've spent more time deleting my characters than playing game.

Omg I have restarted my Human male warrior so many times. Every time I thought I had the face right. Then bam in game it was somehow oddly off. Finally managed to make one that works real nice. I didn't have that issue with female Elves and Humans or the Qunari.
I blame the hair to start or the lack of any hair that isn't god awful.

The hair options are terrible, they are the same for women and men.

nope. you're stuck with it unless you delete and remake. Bioware has stated though that eventually they MAY implement something like Black Emporium later. Just no kind of eta on that

I am at my wits' end with this issue. The huge range of problems in this game are adding up to what I can only describe as disappointment. But having a character I can't stand to look at, after my 8th attempt in the creator, is just gutting my desire to play any more.
It would be one thing if you had more camera control in the creator, so you can see your character from a vertically tilted angle, like the way you see them 90% of the time in game. It would also help if you didn't have to slog through half an hour of mindless tutorial in order to see your results in the world.
I don't get how they dropped the ball on this. About recustomization, I've heard a dev say something along the lines of 'interesting idea... we'll consider it', as if it's some obscure feature no one has ever attempted. It's a glaring, inexplicable omission that should at least be acknowledged and assigned some effort in a patch, soon.
I'm a bit embarrassed for them really. Tons of people talking about this, spending dozens of hours editing and deleting characters over and over... and their strategy is to ignore it and hope people stop being interested in having a decent looking character. "Interesting idea...". Classy.

When did they say that?

When did they say that?
In one of their game play videos. Don't ask me which one cause I have no idea. As I said, they said MAY. Which could also mean they may not

Yeah, they're screwing us on this. There's currently no way to change your appearance post-creation.

For what its worth, many, many, many players have restarted their character over due to their appearance. I restarted my female character about 25 times, including race changes due to frustrations as well. The lack of hair options for females is horrendous and certainly creates another set of issues.

But why isn't it just like Origins? So you can sift through all races and gender, try different combinations and decide. Hate that i have to start the game and then go back to the main menu and choose another composistion.

Because game designers tend to do stupid irrational things these days.

Godamnit I feel you. I rather play thru five minutes deciding wheter or not im going to play another 5 hours before I even get to the second small rift in the prologue. If im still bothered by then... DELETE. I got sick of getting to level 6 or 7 and deleting every character to force myself to start over rather than constantly gripe at my character. Ill never use the Non accented voice again either. Thanks for leaving that to the phone in Joblo voice actor, Or maybe sound editior cuz it sounds like he is echoing in a large area sometimes or breaks his flow of conversation suddenly bursting out "I JUST WANT IT GONE DAMN IT... But ill do anything it take. Anything ILL KILL ALL THE TOWSFILK AND EAT YOUR HEADS, Im hungry lets eat varric." I
Its almost to the point wher ill nee a break from this game befre I attempt to create a character that I know I can because Jaime friggin Lanister and Danaryas are being made alog with Angelina jolie although I do see that Females seem to have much better proportional options than males. Not of the headshapes makea damn bit of since godamn it. ****

Having a Black Emporium mirror and/or Face codes would be optimal and I actually think we'll see both - the Keep has an Inquisition section and there was some dev talk about "Inquisitor DNA" or something along those lines that I'd expect may let us recapture the appearances at some point.

There are people who've already finished their playthroughs, though. Unacceptable, in my opinion; it was available from the start with DA2 (albeit through DLC) and is just so very easy to make. Games where your character's appearance barely matters have included this feature, while in Inquisition, where I have to stare at this guy flap his jaw all the time, I can't change anything.

I made the mistake of choosing max intensity makeup, and while it looked good in well lit scenes, the Inquisitor looked like she fell face first into Solas's paints in the darker ones. My second playthrough, I chose a lot more conservatively ![]()
Too bad there isn't a console command that we could input to pop open the CC screen and exit out to our current game state.
