Seriously.  The ability to customize Hawke was fantastic, and I absolutely adored the overlap between Hawke's tale and the Inquisitor's tale.  Good job Bioware!  But why stop with only having Hawke as a temporary party member?  Why stop at only having mentions of the Hero?  Bring the Hero on and let us customize them.  Just take the plunge and give them a voice too.  Telling a better story telling is worth a few frowns.

Now, I know that the BeeDubs have said the Hero's tale is over, and sad as that makes me, I'm also okay with it.  But!  And that is not a bold But- Nay!  Or an italic but- no!  But a bold, italic But!  ...The Hero's tale being over doesn't mean they still can't play a role in the Inquisitor's story.  I mean, the Wardens in my game are in disarray.  They're shattered into at least two groups.  The southern wardens could very easily come under the sway of the Hero-Warden who comes around talking about a cure for the Calling.  With the Wardens broken and Wies-huputermbedipet-put silent, the Warden would lack the raw numbers and power to implement the cure.  She would naturally turn to the Inquisition.  Who would be more than happy to help the Wardens... and maybe absorb the southern chunk of the ancient order into a new and far more dynamic group.  Imagine when the Sixth Inevitable Blight breaks out...  The Ward-quisitors could take a thousand volunteers from the Inquisition and have them attempt the Joining.  Then, instead of having three Grey Wardens to face the next archdemon, there might be two hundred.  And when the Blight is over, everyone chugs a Call-Waiting potion and they're good to go off and live the rest of their lives hip deep in hot pu

dding.

Hawke could star in his own xpack easily.  The trip to the Grey Grumps up north alone could be interesting as hell.  I whole country that seems to be quietly controlled by the Wardens?  I bet there are some damn dusty skeletons up that way...  And Hawke is exactly the kind to dust them off and make a soup bowl out of them.
