Well the devs dont either (but then all the machines they have are the same)

Nope had plenty of banter plus comments on particular missions depending on characters taken. Some work better than others for some extra dialogue on your situation. Usually i get some banter every 5 minutes sometimes multiple depending on the area. Iron Bull and especially Sera always have something to say. But then i don't like the mounts much and travel mostly on foot everywhere so that might be it.

I get banter all the time, especially if my party stops moving for a few minutes (when I'm making myself a new cup of coffee, for example, they'll suddenly start chatting away behind me XD). Where most of the banter is DA:O tended to be hilarious, though, the DA:I banter seems to be a lot more serious, with a few exceptions.

I think another problem people have is that there are no trigger areas for banter like in DA:O you could keep running across a bridge and get all the banter in the game but it's really random in DA:I. Can just be trying to figure out where I'm going and Sera and Bull start discussing women they saw on the road.

Tis a bug, and thankfully it's being worked on. So hold on - and any party banter you miss out on you can catch up with Youtube. ![]()

Let's see...about 90 hours of gameplays, constantly switching companions, constantly switch areas, never use mount except for the Hinterlands quest, talked to companions at Skyhold to get their every conversations, and I got about 10 banters. If this isn't a bug, I just don't know...

I bring Varric and Cassandra with me just about everywhere, and I can count all the times I've heard them talk on one hand.

I also had the banter bug. Hope they fix it soon.

Fortunately I have gotten plenty of banter so far. It's pretty good in my opinion, just like the one in Origins. The Iron Bull attempts to flirt with Cass are hilarious. Depends on the character though, I rarely play with Blackwall or Solas so I might be missing some dialogues. Dorian is pretty funny too, and Cole tends to make some really weird comments.

For me it depends on the location. In the Hinterlands you could hear crickets. In Crestwood they were a bunch of chatty Cathys.

No problems with the party banter. I don't get music, though. While exploring or during combat.
