By now, we all know ABOUT the dexterity bug and damage with bows/daggers.  I believe (not sure), that there was a patch made for the PC version.  Will there EVER be a fix for the XBOX 360 version of the game?

If not, then the game (for the XBOX 360) is basically cr@p as you are forced to go Str or Cun rogue (lessening damage output) instead of full-out Dex.  You have to get Dexterity up to 35 in order to gain special rogue talents.  Then, you have to pump attribute points into Str (minimum 20 in order to use the Helm of Honneleth), AND, then you have to decide if the rest go into Cun or Str.

So, does anyone have any idea IF there will be XBOX 360 support?

Good question. Any news about this would be great.

I know nothing about this issue and would love to hear more. I can say that I completed one playthrough though...and the single biggest damage done was by Leliana with her bow. Can't remember the amount...but it was the biggest in the codex records.

I know that the PC patch addressed this issue and it was stated then that XBOX 360 patch was still being worked on. I would assume that since the DEX bug is probably the most well known, and the one mentioned the longest, that it is in the works.

Don't forget the "whoops, I sold one too many items to a vendor and now all my saves are broken" bug.

Here's a run down:

Dex will not add damage to daggers.

Dex will only add 0.3 damage to longbows and shortbows.

That's the bug.

Supposed to be 0.5 damage to bows, as well as 0.5 damage to daggers.

The patch will eventually come out with the RTO release..

Sit tight.. for when EVER that comes out.

ok, so, does that mean I have to buy the RTO release in order to get a patch that fixes the game?

No, I don't think so. I assume the patch and RtO to be seperate things but may be released at the same time.

Thank you Jesus. I've been worried that they were going to require you to purchase RTO for the patch. I just wish it would get here soon. I've been waiting for it so I can play my rogue.

I'm not sure this still applies, really. The last update was solely about the title update and RtO. The title update won't fix any of the big gameplay issues except for the loss of unlocked specializations (which, ironically enough, was introduced by the buggy last title update and for which a fix was found by the community already).

There was no mention at all in Victor Wachter's post about the "big" Xbox patch.

I know it has been stated that the Xbox 360 version will be receiving a big cumulative update, but that it might not be created for 1.02. If not, at some point down the road we should probably expect to get a 1.03 or a 1.04. We're just going to have to wait and see what comes our way.

Well, the patchnotes only stated The Achievement and Specialization issues. I've just looked into the game and compared Leliana at the Level up from 14 to 15.

14: Dex 32 Longbow Damage 24,3 and Daggers 16,2/16,7

15: Dex 35 Longbow Damage 25,2 and Daggers 16,2/16,7

thnx for NOTHING! So i think Bioware have patched nothing else, i will just keep enjoying this Game standing and good looking in my shelf.

Of cause i might be Wrong and missed something, so i suggest, some more people would double check this...

I have to say I'm extremely disappointed. I had to wait all this time for the new update to fix the first update and the bugs that fundamentally damage my favorite class still have not been addressed?

I love this game but i cannot bring myself to play through it again until this is corrected.

I detest fanboy PC vs Xbox vs PS3 rants but console owners have truly gotten short changed here. It may not be Biowares fault. It may be the protocols in place having to do with Sony and Microsoft, but wherever the blame lies no one could argue that the system is broken.

I truly don't think it is asking too much for a game to behave the way the MANUAL says it should.

So no fix?
Well this means 360 version of Dragon Age returns to the store tomorrow, and will be my last 360 Bioware game.

Im not really disappointed, didn't expect much since the whole wrecked 360 "patch" f*ckup.

I was surprised to see it took Bioware/EA as long as it did to make a patch to fix the DLC achievements and fix the issue caused by the last patch. This is pretty sad, it's why I stopped playing Dragon Age and refuse to pay a penny for DLC. They should stop releasing DLC for a game that is broken and focus on fixing the game before expecting more money from us for DLC. Till the game is fixed it will sit on the shelf collecting dust as it's not worth playing at this point in time. I'll keep myself busy with other games that are not broken until some of the more serious issues with this game are addressed. <_<

Wow, what a blowout. I came to the forums to see if anyone else was having problems with DA:O for the 360 because I just started a new game and randomly had specializations unlocked right from the get-go. In my search for answers, I read through the tech-support posts and discovered just how flawed this game really is.

All this time I thought the bugs were just flaws in the game, like the stealing success into nothing gained, the waiting period to get loot from kills, etc., and now I find out that my rogues have not been benefiting from pumping points into DEX this entire time? How annoying.

Further research lead to the discovery of a patch for the PC version that fixes many of the problems we gamers rant about here, but nowhere can I get a real answer as to whether any developer cares about the 360 owners.

This is certainly a letdown. I regretfully join the rest of the frustrated people, and will put my DA:O game on the shelf until these problems are addressed by the people who have my money for the game and all of its DLC. Furthermore, I'll be sure to avoid spending any more money on their products, and will also inform all of my gamer friends that Bioware's products, although awesome in theory, are flawed, and a poor investment for any console owner.

The millionaires behind this crap are good at creating moral decisions in their games for the players to do the right thing. I wonder, will they do the right thing for us in real life?

I disagree with them being good at making moral decisions... 1/3 of the character lines are just to the same response anyway, so that's a rip-off on dialogue. Is my line just for my benefit anyway? Please.s

But yes, I'm going to do the same thing, urge all my friends to not purchase anything BioWare until they can prove to have some modicum of reliability, not spending another penny, and this is the last time I buy a BioWare product. I have honestly never been so frustrated with a game in my life! I can't believe it's ranting and raving reviews! Well put to Drayvenn, no, it's not too much to ask the game to behave as is stated in the manual and in the tips, and as the game states, but alas, we have to suffer poor programers and a company only set to bleed money off of us gamers, refusing to address our issues, instead sending us into a forum where they won't read because as EA told me "they are not familiar with gameplay" when I sent them an email regarding technical issues from a number of the bugs we've all already listed here.

Suffice it to say, I'm very pissed off. I haven't bought a game in some time because all the news, reviews, etc. are showing that they are getting worse and buggier and not worth your money. Unfortunately, it seems that it is completely acceptable to the community and to the market to release faulty games to the public with major bugs that are apparent to every individual who picks up the controller, so how could they have been overlooked unless it was rushed to the shelves, and then left to collect dust from there-on by the gamers, for the developers have already made their buck, why bother continuing with an investment of their time?

Thanks a lot for nothing BioWare and EA

The Game has gotten such good reviews because it is really good! From my point of view, there is no arguing about it.
I can understand that a Project with such a lot of Content and a more, or less complex RPG system could develop a lot of bug and errors. What's so bloody frustrating, is that they don't do anything about it!
I'm not speaking of some one-in-a-million-bug, that needs in first place to be reproduced and searched for.
I mean the really obvious things like the dex bug. This isn't something that might by chance slip through a Beta testing and it needs a thousand People till it gets noticed.

It borders on real agony for me, i want to play it so badly. I bought it at the release and played about 20 hours and i just couldn't stand it any longer.

I agree that the game is really good. I'd just like to see something somwhere from someone in charge that states, "We appologize for our oversights, and we are working to resolve these issues. Console owners can expect an update in the next ___ month(s)." That way, we gamers will know that the company is on our side. Of course mistakes happen, and I certainly understand the drive to make lots of money, but I think the right thing to for the company to do would be to have a news link on thier homepage that states loud and clear for the loyal customers, "We know what we need to fix, and we will fix it." Give me that, and I will wait as long as it takes without compaint.

Yeah, exactly! I believe that a great deal of people wouldn't be have so mad, if the Companies just talk to us. Just a little bit of explanation and soothing. We paid a LOT of money for it, aren't they supposed kiss our asses? It wouldn't be just so upsetting, if you only know that they work on it. After three month there has been nothing done, except for the achievements. Wonderful...
