Agreed. A blizz/bioware/activision combo would be amazing :)

At least with my suggest combo, you'd be pairing bioware with a company that actually knows something about RPGs and supporting their product.

I understand your perspective and agree to some extent.  However, Blizzard is not known for it's RPGs.  It is, however one of the best producers of real-time strategy games (Starcraft, Warcraft), MMORPGs (World of Warcraft), and action/collection games (Diablo) , in the industry.  When it comes to RPGs, depending on the style, Bioware has always been a frontrunner.  EA, however has never been one to publish quality RPGs (at least not since they published the Bard's Tale series way back in the mid-1980s).

Blizzard does have their act together for the most part when it comes to customer support, which is probably one of the selling points of WoW right now.  They haven't ever successfully launched a console game though, so time will tell.

I've put this into my last couple of community reports to the dev team (as well as the corrupted saves bug). Soon, we will be deciding on the contents of the next title update, so we should be able to let you know at least when/if it will be fixed.

This and the other bug you mentioned have been known since release. Are you telling us that three months later and you just notice it?

No, they're saying that it's been in the notes, and there will be a GIANT title update as opposed to a bunch of tiny ones.

wow, I'm bummed about this problem too but you guys sound like you're about to either slit your wrists or suicide bomb Bioware.

I fully understand and agree with the grievances raised by everyone, but this made me chuckle, it's nice to have an oasis of LOL amidst all the depression :0)

Could you please post a ink to where they say this I cannot find anything, I'd like to get awakenings but don't want to waste my money if its just as unplayable as DA:O. Thanks.

From the looks of this quote, there is ONE thing that's certain. There will be another title update. Assumedly to patch the 360 version with a lot of the stuff the PC was patched with. Thus why I said "one GIANT update instead of a bunch of tiny ones" here's hoping they fix at least the two big issues (dex & corrupted saves) with one patch.

I'm assuming he said "when/if" because the official decisions haven't come down from whatever round table meeting they're going to have, and thus didn't want to promise anything. Better safe than sorry in situations like this, y'know?

The expansion isn't out for a while, so I'm just going to be patient and enjoy the plethora of other cool games I have right now (it's been a wonderful past month and so for a gamer) while I wait. I played through pretty much everything up to Landsmeet over the last couple of months, and only just found out about the glitches. So a month break isn't going to personally kill me.

There is no source, it's just wildly over-optimistic conjecture.

Optimism has been proven to be wrong with Bioware lately...

You guys are a lost cause. I swear. Are you people unable to read?

It says right here that there WILL be a next title update. It's not guaranteed we're getting the dex bug fixed, but there's a title update in the works.

I'm very sure that there WILL be one... they want to blend in the DLC.

Well you are quite welcome to continue with your raving naivety, but please do not spew forth baseless speculation as though it is fact. Victor has not given any indication whatsoever that any bugs will be fixed, and you can question until blue in the face people's ability to read (laughable, since I am an English University student in my third year, and am clearly a competent reader and writer) but the fact remains that you are reading into Wachter's words meanings that do not exist.

Wachter also uses the words 'when/if' in the post you have quoted. How you can fail to take that into consideration in your interpretation, and then bring into question other people's ability to read, is beyond me.

Edit: And any upcoming title updates are not the issue here at all. In case you hadn't noticed this thread is called 'Dexterity Bug -- Will it GET XBOX 360 support?' That is what is being debated here, and why you are using the fact that there will likely be a title update in the future as basis for certainty of a Dex patch I cannot think.

Don't be a fool. You are going around telling people that there will be one giant fix coming up, when you have absolutely no idea whether this is the case. Yet you are stating it as fact.

If you must insist on insulting people's reading skills like a boring little schoolboy then at least try constructing a coherent argument - based on fact - yourself.

BioWare devs are paying me by the hour to redirect your anger for them towards me. :P

PS. I'm an optimist and everyone else seems to be a "realist" or "pessimist". I know there's no obvious statements or facts outside of one small little quote. But, hey, at least SOMEONE is trying to do something for us.

As I've stated before, if stuff doesn't get patched, don't buy the expansion, simple as that. Call the better business bureau on them for selling a faulty product, stop buying their product, or whatever you'd like to do to make a stand.

Let me tell you guys a story, I bought the "Wasteland Survivor's Edition" of Fallout 3, complete with the fancy clock. That clock now sits on my desk as a glorified paperweight because it was poorly crafted and sucked like... 4 or 6 AA batteries dry every 24 hours just for a basic LED screen that kept time. 30+ page threads went ignored on the Bethesda forums, nobody was ever offered free repairs or even refunds. At best you could, if you tried hard enough, to return the game and everything else to Amazon.com and get a refund or you could send the clock to Bethesda so they could send you back another crappily made clock. Bethesda showed extremely poor customer support, and they tossed the blame back and forth to either Amazon.com or the developers of the clock which were some company in China. Perhaps that's eeriely similar to the EA, Microsoft/Sony, Edge, bounce back issue we're having when we bring up our complaints about the console editions of Dragon Age.

Point of the story is simply that, I lost out on like 40 or 50 bucks for a glorified paperweight that sits in my office and doesn't tell time. What could've been something awesome turned into a disaster, and so I'm used to being crapped on by large software companies who rake in millions with a single game. I have a lot more faith in BioWare than I ever did Bethesda, because at least SOMEONE had the decency to post in the topic and say "Hey, I know you guys think you're not being heard, but you've got at least one guy here rooting for you and I'm putting your complaints into possible fixes list for the next 360 update." so, kudos to Victor Wachter, because he's the reason I'm an optimist right now.

I'd say, if the expansion isn't out and there isn't even a word of a patch or a fix for our issues, then all hope can be officially lost, and I'll join in with the rest of you. Plus, think on the bright side, if the patch comes out a little before the expansion, you won't have to wait as long between completing the game and waiting for the expansion like all those PC users. :)

The first title update only fixed the broken achievements which means that dex is still broken on the console version.

As irritating as it is, Bioware is never going to reply to this thread because they simply don't check the console forums. I know, I know. It's irritating, and stupid, and I wish they would get their act together as well. They do, at least occasionally, respond in the general forum, and those with gameplay questions would get far better answers there as well. That is where Bioware has posted everything about the Xbox thus far.
