console patches take alot longer to make, accept that fact

There are devs on the 360 who are releasing multiple patches in a month sometimes. If other devs are capable of patching their games on the 360 in a timely fashion I don't see why we should give Bio a free pass.

Maybe they're all busy working on the expansion.

Well, i just checked it again today. After i had an update this Morning, don't know why.
Thanks to the game of a friend , i could compare the PC Version with my Xbox 360...
I started a new Game and created a rough with the exact same load out, even checked all equipment to have the same stats and played simultaneously to the first level up.
From scratch with Dex 20. Tested on Nightmare
PC Rough, two iron Daggers 7,2/7,2 Damage
Xbox 360 Rough, two iron Daggers 5,7/5,7 Damage
At Level 2 with Dex 23
PC 7,6/7,6 Damage
Xbox 5,7/5,7 Damage

And you see it right away in combat, that the PC Rough is able to kick some Ass and chew Bubble Gum.
I looked into the difference with Bows yet... this was already very depressing.

How about Bioware say something about this? This makes us all look like we're stupid :|

We're not. We're asking. Want to tell us if any of these bugs are going to be fixed anytime soon?

Any more news on an eta for this, or any idea of how we can raise the profile of this issue?

Still no word on a patch, awakenings out in a week, I'm starting to worry that this will never get fixed.  Image IPB
I plan on answering the lack of technical support with a lack of financial support, meaning I'm not buying the expansion or any other dlc until they fix these bugs. I've been as patient as I can be, but it's been months now and we don't even have the same patches as the pc that have been out for monthsImage IPB
I hate to rant and bash a game company that I've liked for years but enough is enough. Sure there's red tape, porting issues etc but these patches have been there for months there is absolutely no excuse for them still not being available for the consoles. The only option is not to give them more money since that is what it's all about, maybe if enough people refuse to buy the expansion until they actually fix the original game we might actually see a patch.
Sorry for the rant, just tired of the lack of support and communication we've had, it's very frustrating.

Me too. Done purchasing anything by bioware until they start acting responsibly toward their customers. We've given you ample time to respond and no response.

This is turning into the same issue with the website. Song and dance.

Seeing as how my sig pic clearly shows my love of ME2 it would be disingenuous of me to say I won't purchase ANY Bioware products until this is resolved but I agree. No more DA downloads or purchases until we get some answers.

I want more DA badly but I actually believe it would be morally wrong to encourage this type of customer support by giving more money to the project/franchise.

Well since they patched the PC version the Xbox version is quite similar programing wise I belive that it should be coming soon. I do hope they update this soon....I have a feeling though they are planing to upate all the consoles simultaniusly and so have to work on individual patches for each one. Bioware may not even be the ones directly working on it, they may be using another team they have to go through for the console versions thus extending development and release times.

To boycott is stupid. I'm sorry but they don't HAVE to fix anything. At all. If they do then great. But they don't OWE you a fix for a Dex bug. It doesn't break the game and you can still play (with or without a dex build).

Try to put it in some perspective people...

THAT said, I do hope they patch some bugs.

Not to boycott is stupid.  They HAVE to consider the market share. The most important is, we don't OWE them our money. When they produce **** like that, a major part of Gamers stop buying their Games. Though it only might hit Bioware, for EA most certainty has enough National Socialist's Gold to shrug of even half a dozen dying IPs and hole Franchises.

Try to understand the operating principles of a free market...

So i SAID **** you and didn't buy Mass Effect 2 ,nor any further DLC.

The reason I will not be purchasing any more DA products isn't actually about the bug.  I have played the game to completion and even with the bug I consider the experience easily worth the $60.
What I will NOT support is the customer service that is part of this product and I paid for by purchasing it.  There are MANY people who simply want to know if a certain issue is going to be addressed or not and are actually waiting to play until there are answers.
If Bioware told us tomorrow that there will never be another patch or update ever for the Xbox then we could assess the situation.
We could look at the game as it is and decide "Is this worth $60?".  I, for one, would actually say "yes" and although I would be dissappointed I would continue to buy DA products and expansions.  There are certainly others who would say "no" and that is fine as well.
The lack of any communication, however, is unacceptable to me personally.  The game does not work as intended, proven by the PC patch, and we simply want to know IF it will be fixed.

What kind of moronic thing to say is that? To boycott is stupid? I can never understand those who say these things... the only conclusion I can draw is that they themselves are rather lacking in the department of brains.

No, really boycotting unless you are being oppressed, tricked, or molested is stupid.

1) 99% of their customers bought the game and never come on these nerd rage forums. They don't know there is a dex bug that hasn't been fixed.

2) You all are bent out of shape over tiny bugs. Bugs that video games in the 80s, 90s, and most of 2000 had (or worse) and were NEVER addressed. NEVER. We just lived with them and shruged and went "that's annoying".

3) The people who write posts on these boards have some odd sense of entitlement. Bioware never signed a contract that said they will fix every bug that is found, nor that they will inform us of their every move and decision.

Seriously guys, look at what you are boycotting and why. it is beyond silly and ignorant.

You want to boycott and make a stand? Why don't you pick a REAL cause. Look at the big corporations (like the banks and Wallstreet) and all the crap they are doing to us, causing real harm, and boycott them.

They told us that they were LOOKING INTO the bugs. They've updated that a month or so ago. If they haven't fixed it yet then just assume they aren't going to, then if they do fix it it is a nice surprise.

Ryngard: Old games did in fact get bug fixes, but you only got them through a new version of the same game. Meaning that you need to buy the same game over again.

Now for the bugs, i really dont care anymore, but what strikes me the most is that bugs that were in all versions got fixed right away on the PC and not even mentioned for the consoles. That is called bad support since they clearly fix stuff in the game, but not for all versions.

I think they should at least say "no" or "yes" for the patch question, since it is obvious that the consoles getting shafted by the superior game, big brother, the PC.

I wouldn't say that the save data corruption bug is a TINY bug considering it causes you to be unable to complete and enjoy the game, and instead causes you to waste 50+ hours of gameplay/life. I'd say that's pretty damaging and if nothing else gets fixed NEEDS to be fixed.

Honestly, by this point looking into bugs doesn't mean sh*t to me, they've had four months to look into bugs many of which were fixed on pc very quickly. The most recent patch (1.02) has been out since December, I find it very hard to believe that it takes three months to simply take that patch and apply it to the consoles.

Bugs aside, the support for this game is what most people are upset about. Simply saying it's being looked at while rushing out dlc and expansions to get more money from us is honestly, quite insulting, they have time to make dlc and expansions but can't take a fraction of that time to fix the game? I don't believe that for a second.

Since all they want is our money, not buying the expansions/dlc is a way to send a message to them since our    e-mails go unanswered or they direct us to go here. I canceled my preorder of the expansion a while ago, I preordered it thinking that there's no way they would release an expansion without a patch as well, seems I was wrong.

1) Irrelevant. I know and thats all that matters.

2)  Those bugs have been fixed on the PC. Now if the devs of those old games trotted out  a fix for a small portion of their customers and then gave the finger to the rest of the customers you might have a point.

3) As consumers we determine value and what we are willing to spend our money on. If Bioware is not going to support the console version, then there is no reason to support Bioware by purchaseing the console version. You say Bioware never signed a contract with us, but we never signed a contract with bioware saying we have to throw our money at Bioware. Thats why I plan on buying used, so I can still play their games but not reward them with my money.

Well today xbox was updated to 1.03.

If you go to the patch notes, it says 1.03 includes all previous patches. Patch 1.02b or whatever mentions a dex fix.

BOOM. They fixed it after all. Huh...

I had to check with the Dev team to make sure, hence the delay.

If you get patch 1.03 you automatically get all previous patch material included, so you do not need to get Patch 1.01, then 1.01a, then 1.02, etc. Getting Patch 1.03 will update you fully.
