Well today xbox was updated to 1.03.

If you go to the patch notes, it says 1.03 includes all previous patches. Patch 1.02b or whatever mentions a dex fix.

BOOM. They fixed it after all. Huh...

Actually, according to Andari_Surana the bow damage part of the Dex bug has NOT been fixed.  Can anyone verify this?

The only person here who believes they have a sense of entitlement is you. Who the **** are you to tell us what to think or do? If you want to buy the expansion good for you and GTFO this thread. On the box it is clearly stated that it "CONTAINS THE FULL VERSION OF THE GAME".  Due to the dex bug, the poison menu bug, and sundry other bugs, I DO NOT have the full version of the game. I paid money for this game in the belief, as advertised on the box, that I would get the full version of the game, and it is within my RIGHTS to demand that BW make good on that statement. If they do not fix the bugs which currently stop me getting the full version of the game then I will not be buying the expansion. If enough people do not buy the expansion then a clear message is sent to BW that they can not make such statements and not deliver.

I believe its not only the dex bug that isnt the same. some gears have totally different stats on the xbox vs PC (if it aint allready fixed, errr yeah, it prolly aint).

unconclusive statements from the company, poor choice in gear, severe bugs, very little value for some of the most expensive DLC's on xbox marketplace, buy another game for a set of decent gear (which i didnt get even though i got both DA and ME2).

reaks of money leeching.

But, i am happy with the main story, despite all the shortcommings and disgusting corporate agendas. lets see how it turns out in awakening. im hoping for more there.

No, they just copy and pasted the PC patch notes. Nothing important was fixed, otherwise they would clearly state the xbox patch would contain the previous ones.

Wont know untill the patch is uploaded to Xbox Live. However the PS3 got the same update and Dex is still broken. So I'm guessing that Bioware just lumped us in with the patch notes for the PC and didn't bother to fix dex for us.

I really hope that the patch will fix the dex bug, I've been able to work around the save corruption and most of the others (although it's a pain in the ass) but I've been waiting since the release of this game to make a dex rogue. Still no patch available on live which makes me wonder if it's broken like the last patch that came out with RtO. Read a lot of posts from people on the pc that say this patch breaks more than it fixes, makes me glad I canceled my preorder and got FFXIII instead, gives me something else to play until they actually fix this game.  Image IPB

The patch DID NOT fix the dex bug. It DOES NOT fix any bugs, all it does is rebalance the game for Awakenings and fixes minor cosmetic issues. I guess there is little point in complaining on these forums, I'll just will not get Awakenings. Unfortunately, FF13 here I come....

Just to make things clear about the presumed dex bug: How much damage is a DW rogue supposed to do with daggers in a single hit? My character is now level 15, has about 40 in both dex and cunning. On a regular backstab/critical hit the damage from a single hit varies between 30 and 40, not included bonus like runes and flaming weapons and such. I am using Beastman's Dagger and Duncan's dagger. What would have been the proper amount of damage if dex wasn't bugged?

It's 0.5 damage per point of dexterity for dagger damage, with out the dexterity fix, you're getting no damage at all from dexterity, so.. you'd be doing about 15 more damage if dexterity was working

I agree with follis here. if the entire dex bug fix is supposed to increase the damage, rouges are going to flatly outdamage any warrior easily. when you calculate these things you have to consider what excactly happens in one attack round, and even more importantly, what is the delay of each round.

if you do your job and outflank for backstabs, and you hit for 30-40 each hit as level 15. one attack round is 60-80 damage. furthermore delay of daggers is about as fast as it gets, meaning that the damage reoccurs much faster than by example a greatsword. If the dex modifiers greatly increase the damage output for a swing, the "damage per second" would see a great increase. even more considering the sustained delay skill

if i where to look at my damage dealt on my playthroughs as dual wield rouge, archer rouge, shield and sword warrior and two handed sword warrior (this ones just at 18 with the final battle left). My Dual wield rogue wins by a fair amount of damage allready, at the very least its just as proficient at doing damage as any other setup ive played.

Ok, thanks for clearing that up. I am missing out on some damage then, but as the previous poster also says, maybe my rogue would have been too powerful? But of course if the damage is indeed meant to be like you describe it, it should have been fixed.

A rouge could skip putting points into str (or cunning with the skill for that) to do more damage and rely more upon dex. however, your gear options would be dramatically reduced by doing so. on every other area then massive armor, your options are very thin, limiting it to just light armor, or raise to 30 for medium armor would give you half a handfull of options. You would also limit yourself to using daggers only, most likely. as you can backstab with longswords ive been aiming for that.

ive looked into what damage my rouge are doing. Ive hit 107 dmg as my highest damage score. i dont have any one hit massive damage abillities. its a regular backstab i think. i got 50+10 in dex. i would have to add 30 more damage into that ending up to 137 total for one swing. 2 swings in a round, alot faster attacks... yeah my 2 handed war wouldnt stand a chance...

I've put this into my last couple of community reports to the dev team (as well as the corrupted saves bug). Soon, we will be deciding on the contents of the next title update, so we should be able to let you know at least when/if it will be fixed.

Created 1 month ago...

I've been fortunate not to have fallen victim to the game-breaking saves bug, thanks to the warnings of users who had it, but I still feel for them. Another patch has come and gone, and still no solution in sight. Consider my preorder of Awakening canceled, as this is simply intorelable and I'm not willing to risk hours of playing time due to unaddressed and unreplied to bugs.

No, really boycotting unless you are being oppressed, tricked, or molested is stupid.

1) 99% of their customers bought the game and never come on these nerd rage forums. They don't know there is a dex bug that hasn't been fixed.

2) You all are bent out of shape over tiny bugs. Bugs that video games in the 80s, 90s, and most of 2000 had (or worse) and were NEVER addressed. NEVER. We just lived with them and shruged and went "that's annoying".

3) The people who write posts on these boards have some odd sense of entitlement. Bioware never signed a contract that said they will fix every bug that is found, nor that they will inform us of their every move and decision.

Seriously guys, look at what you are boycotting and why. it is beyond silly and ignorant.

You want to boycott and make a stand? Why don't you pick a REAL cause. Look at the big corporations (like the banks and Wallstreet) and all the crap they are doing to us, causing real harm, and boycott them.

They told us that they were LOOKING INTO the bugs. They've updated that a month or so ago. If they haven't fixed it yet then just assume they aren't going to, then if they do fix it it is a nice surprise.

More moronic statements. Pick a REAL cause? How do you know I haven't picked plenty of 'real' causes as well? I have been boycotting things all my life... if I find out a company is slightly dodgy ethically then I make an effort to not buy their products. Ever.

And for some people a bug corrupts their saves so they cannot even play the game at all. That's a pretty big bug. BioWare didn't bother to test the game properly before it came out, and it's riddled with so many bugs it's just a joke. If people want to boycott BioWare because they don't give a toss about the quality of the games that they themselves make, then why should you have a problem with that?

I say, boycott as much as you can. What other power do we have? None, sadly.

Edit: And I am 'just assuming they aren't going to' fix it, just so you know. I have been pessimistic about this from the start, and it appears my prediction was correct.
