This game is unplayable on the PC.  There are so many bugs that it has just completely ruined the entire experience for me.  I have but 61 hours into the game, and now I cannot advance because the game constantly crashes to the desktop with no error message during one of the main fights.

Furthermore, half the time, the game won't even launch.  I've sat here clicking play 20+ times from the Origin launcher and it won't do anything.  This game is a steaming pile of garbage that should have had a lot more testing to work out the bugs.

I'm done with BW and Dragon Age at this point.

The above mentioned bugs are only the most severe.  There's numerous other bugs that make quests impossible.  And literally hundreds over other annoyances.  If you buy this game, don't waste money on the PC version.

I'm sorry you're having a difficult time with the pc version, and there are definitely annoying bugs.  However, not everyone is experiencing the gamebreaking ones, and there is still a lot in this game to like.

I think it's worth a try if you've enjoyed the prior games.

That sounds like a common Origin problem. Your best bet is to google, reinstall Origin a dozen times, reinstall windows 100 times, and buy 1000 new PCs.

I'm actually serious - games not launching is a common problem, with unknown cause and unknown fix (although a lot of youtube videos suggest weird fixes)

It took you 60 hours to notice the game constantly crashing? You are either one of the most dedicated masochists I know (because, you know, most people would stop playing after an hour if the game keep crashing...), or your story doesn't add up.

I have yet to notice any real bugs and experienced only one crash after 60+ hours, don't know what you're on about.

Wow, really?  I wonder how I managed to put in 60+ hours so far with no major issues...

Also DL'd it with Origin, had two crashes in 72 hours, had the extremely annoying but not game-breaking gender bug, had two other bugs during the final cinematic with Alexius and initially it offered me rogue specializations instead of mage specializations, but both could be circumvented manually. Cullen disappeared for good at some point so I could finish a quest and didn't see a couple of cinematics.

Played it with an XBox360 Wireless Controller instead of traditional keyboard&mouse setup, so I aboided the horrible PC controls adaptation.

All in all, I was surprised who smoothley all things went.

I do get a lot of crashes. They come in bunches... I found not trying to push the system too hard with graphical settings helps (honestly, you can make a lot of graphical adjustments with little drop in visual fidelity but a huge boost to performance. It's quite nice.)

I haven't experienced any game-breaking glitches though... the closest thing I can think of is I can't seem to find any of Cassandra's targets.

I have had a few crashes to desktop which can be annoying and more importantly immersion breaking, but luckily I had saved just before.

35 hours in and I'm not noticing any bugs that make the game unplayable.

Or save the game thousands of times. I'm a bugger for that. I literally am a savaholic. I think it started when I played SKyrim with a hundred mods.

I'm 43 hours in and had three crashes to desktop, took me a minute to get back into the game. The only other problem I have had is a few NPCs not appearing, but a quick save and reload sorted that out.

One crash to desktop. Two camera madly spinning which sped up faster in tac cam instances (which made me afraid to move the camera angle) and maybe one audio bug during corypehus' final battle. Other than that no problems

I've started having the issue where during conversations I can't use the mouse, I can only use the keyboard, so I can't tell if something is a flirt response, aggressive response, or if it will lead to more exploration.

Note that there is a limit of 250 save slots over all playthroughs.  So, yeah, that's kinda a problem for me.

I'm going back and weeding out earlier saves a bit at a time to make sure I'll continue to have room after I hit that little brick wall.

Tell me again how the game was developed for the PC as primary platform? *sigh*

I do get the CTD error as a result of the nvidia card glitch (0-2 times per day) and it's quite the immersion killer. Other than that I haven't experienced any game-breaking bugs. Sorry to hear about your PC experience, I understand how frustrating CTDs are.

After having played for over 53 hours on two seperate saves, I haven't encountered a single bug yet. So, this game can't be called unplayable on PC. Too bad some people are having issues, but it's no reason not to buy the game since not everyone is affected and a patch will be incoming soon anyway.

Of the 100 hrs invested into the game I had 3 crashes. It's not that bugged. It could use more polish but it's a good game.

Triple digit play time here, no crashes yet.

I'm sorry to hear 'bout your troubles but the title of this thread does not reflect the average experience. I am loving this game on the PC.

For me the amount of glitches seems to vary from day to day. Yesterday I tried to enter Western Approach for the first time and the game would either fail to load the area or it would freeze within 10 seconds of entering it. Tried various things to fix and what finally worked was changing the API from Mantle to DirectX. I then later changed it back to Mantle and today I could enter Western Approach without any problems with Mantle enabled

Why not just move the saves? Swap them in when needed?

I am suffering from an archer animation bug that is ruining my experience with the class.  Apparently, I'm the only one who cares about it though.  Meanwhile, people are complaning about banter not happening often enough.  Good grief, let's focus our attention on actual bugs shall we?

PC gamer here OP, and no bigs in the main  (SP) game.

0 crashes, 0 hiccups.

Hope your problems are resolved though with either a driver update or the next patch, it truly is an amazing game.

I could say the same about Origins, can't play it any more because of a memory leak. Meanwhile DAI is running beautifully on my PC. I really do sympathise with people experiencing lots of bugs (I've been there many times with games), but you can't assume that because you're experiencing something that the same will happen to others. Personally, I'm finding the game very much worth my money.

I've not really had a technical issue on my PC (guess I'm one of the lucky ones), no crashes, solid frames, no hitching. Loading times can be a little longer that I usually tolerate. That's not to say I don't have issues with in-game bugs, certainly plenty of those!

I'm running with:

i5-3750k OC to 4.5 ghz

16 gigs of ram

EVGA GTX 780Ti

My sympathies for those with heavy game breaking bugs, mine are only a few

I've only had a couple I can name of the top of my mind;

- At the start of a certain cut-scene, I still have the UI up instead of the Dialogue Wheel (I think that only occured once, because I spacebar'd my way through to the conversation to guarantee it doesn't happen again)

- Multiplayer has a....60/40 chance of connecting me to a match when I search for one

- Multiplayer has a 50/50 chance of either staying black screen once everybody readies up, or gets straight into the game

Apart from that, this runs incredibly well on my PC.

i7-4770k Oc'd to 4.2

8GB Ram

EVGA GTX 780 Ti Superclocked
