I have clocked 96 hours and I am level 23. So far (knock on wood) I have had a single quest bug out, that I eventually fixed with some tinkering later. Beyond that, I think it crashed a single time on me. Early on there was some micro-stuttering, but that seems to have been dealt with as well.

While I have other minor gripes, it has been very playable for me. I hope it clears up for you.

For those of you that have no glitches, can you please post your PC's specs? The game is playable on Med/Low settings if I make it off the main menu before that inevitably freezes. 40 hrs in, and I've had a few issues with characters disappearing in Haven, and graphics REALLY chugging in crowded areas like Redcliffe.

...I have 119 hours of gameplay with 3 crashes.

There's bugs yes but it's perfectly playable for me.

I cannot get passed the final battle against the Fear demon inside the Fade.  That fight has crashed me to the desktop with no error messages 100% of the times I've tried to do it.  I once almost finished the fight, the demon had something like 5% health left, but more often it crashes somewhere in the beginning or in the middle of the fight.  I've tried to get passed it more than 20 times now.  This is ridiculous.

Agreed.

I've encountered one crash in 109 hours of Dragon Age: Inquisition.

And that was because I alt-tabbed right as I clicked continue and the game locked up. If I had just left it alone, I doubt it would have crashed at all.

Have any of you who are reporting over 90 hours in game gotten passed the Fade when you fight the Fear demon? The game was playable up to that point, with occasional crashes.

I'm almost 90 hours. Well past the Fade, and it's still very playable.

I seem to have the "party banter doesn't occur very often" bug, I have one import bug (Morrigan, it appears, has convinced herself that the Warden is her baby daddy instead of Alistair). And it's crashed 3 or 4 times.

Otherwise, my experience with DAI, both on my Nvidia laptop and my AMD Desktop, has been very positive. I even got accustomed to the clunky keyboard/mouse controls.

Update: I finally made it past the Fade battle. I realized that whenever Solas cast a frost spell on the demon is what was causing the game to crash. I'm not sure why this is, but it seems to be the source of all the crashes during this fight. I went in to tactics and turned off his Frost Mine and Frost Nova abilities, and the fight went without a crash.

I can continue playing now, but part of me is wondering if I should. I must have sat through dozens of crashes, and the whole experience has really soured my mood to both the game and BW in general.

I've started having the issue where during conversations I can't use the mouse, I can only use the keyboard, so I can't tell if something is a flirt response, aggressive response, or if it will lead to more exploration.

Had that. Usually alt-tabbing out of origin and then going back in by clicking DA:I on the taskbar solves this problem.

Right clicking can also fix that.

Threads like this are why I haven't bought it yet. If this drags on till after Witcher 3 comes out it'll have to go straight into my backlog.

I've been playing on PC and had no issues with Origin (It's actually way more stable for me as Steam likes to crash 3 times a week on average) and had only one game crash due to an issue with the Nvidia drivers.

Been having a great time.

This thread is idiotic!  Yeah some people are having problems, but to say its unplayable is pure bullshit.  I havent had one crash and only very minor problems with the TAC cam. As far as i can see, the OP's problems stem from his PC only.

Mate, honestly, dont listen to this thread.  Yeah there are a few problems, but its fine and they will be patching it soon anyway.

And though I am Techless, by re-mapping keys to my desired configuration before play, I managed to avoid a lot of the posted frustrations. Tac-Cam is fine, no crashes on my system, etc. All my little gripes are with the character and Player restrictions for builds; nothing technical, Thank goodness.

As a suggestion, anyone concerned about how it'll work on their PC could always use the Origin "Great Game Guarantee" as effectively a demo. As long as you've got the discipline to make you get your refund before the time runs out.

The only bugs I encountered so far are:

- A scene not triggering in Dorian personal quest, (fixed by reloading a save)

- My Hawke appearing with the Warrior Champion set instead of the Rogue one

- Lack of party banter a few days ago but it seems to be better now

Maybe 2 or 3 CTD.

Over 70 hours now, the game crashed one time (looked like as if the game process spontanously ended, without any error message) during gameplay, and 3-4 time when it tried to connect to EA servers and froze at the very beginning. Not a single significant bug. Above 30 FPS (even 40, depending on a location) at all times at High/Ultra mix, occasional pop-in and NPCs (mainly party members) teleporting. Some framerate drops in high-NPC areas, like Redcliffe.

Considering it's a game I bought at release, it's running extremely clean for me. Incredibly so. I can't remember a single game that would freeze/crash so rarely.

So yeah. There's that.

I have a feeling OPs problems are coming from drivers/processes running in background and not the game itself.

My personal PC experience from one finished playtrough, 2 CTDs, unable to finish 3 sidequests(runing game on ultra pretty much everything)

Only serius and annoying problem that only actualy started occuring after actualy playing the game for about 40 hours is having to click the game multiple times in origin to actually load up, once it does loadup works without problems though(wud appriciate if anyone has an idea how to fix origins though cuz it is slightly annoying)

Geforce GTX 660 OC 2gb

8gb Ram

I run in full 1080p, mix of ultra/high/medium settings and get 45-60 fps. Average of around 55ish or so.

Game runs very smooth for me. I do however get an fps dip in redcliffe vilalge, but that's the only area. I'm not even sure its npc related as the Winter Palace has far more and my fps is smooth there. Might be the environment in that particular area.

I used to have an issue on launch day where the main menu froze, but I think it was due to an issue with contacting the DA servers. I never got it when I went offline that day, and since then even going online I haven't had a freeze again.

Not a single CTD.

Only one little glitch after creating a character. He wasn't wearing the normal armor you see them in. More a long coat, maybe a mage outfit? Voices were echoed over top each other. One person talked you can hear them speak twice slightly off set. Was playable and everything returned to normal once I picked up a weapon. That has been the only single issue I've had and a very minor one at that.

Intel i7-4770k (4.0ghz)

16g G.Skill Sniper memory(1866mhz)

Corsair Neutron SSD

MSI R9-290X Lightning 4g using the Mantle api over DX11 (also used Nvidia GTX770 2g in SLI before changing cards)

1080p @ 144hz. Mix of ultra, fade touched and high settings. Shadows I keep at medium. Get an min of 60.4fps and avg of 84 fps.

My one and only complaint so far is the hair choices
