Why are these not in the game (single player)?

If I wanted to look like a human i'd have played one, I switched after an hour over to an Elf thinking "nah, elves have better looking armor" only to find out they get MAYBE 2 different elf only armors.  Then I see the armor all the elves in

Spoiler
are wearing and wonder again why my Dalish Elf is wearing human handme downs.

I hear Qunari don't have it any better.

or dwarves for that matter..

All races except Qunari:
All Classes: Warden armor

Dwarves:
Rogue: Carter (Schematic found in the winter palace)
Warrior: Legion of the dead (Schematic found in the hissing wastes tomb of the paragon Fariel. I still have not found the key parts)

Elves: (BUG: Sera is Human trained so she cannot use Elven gear.)
Rogue: Dalish Scout (Schematic obtained from the hissing waste merchant)
Mage: Keeper (No schematic found yet, purchased from the dalish camp store, a lesser variant is found in the elven tomb in the exalted plains)

Human:
All Classes: Orlesian armor (Schematics purchased from Orlesian merchant in Val royeau)

All Classes: Adventurer armor (No idea where I found this one.)

Warrior: Templar Armor (Schematic obtained from the hissing waste merchant)
Warrior: Freeman Armor (No idea where I found this one.)

Qunari:
All Classes: Vitaar face paint. (No schematics)

Kinda disappointed they didn't make the Inquisitor armor change like they did with the companions, based on you race.  Cause right now, my Elf just looks like an anorexic human. :(

Edit: i don't think it's a bug with Sera.  She's Human in all aspects but blood. She was living in an orphanage until being adopted by a human and raised as one. She has no feelings or connections about the Dalish and even harps on the MC if he's "too elfy"

Elves:
Mage: Keeper (No schematic found yet, purchased from the dalish camp store, a lesser variant is found in the elven tomb in the exalted plains)

The schematic is looted from the Highland Ravager, a level 23 High Dragon in Emprise du Lion.

With the right materials, it's the best mage armour in the game.

With the right materials, it's the best mage armour in the game.

Sort of. It has the best base stats, but it doesn't have arm or leg slots. (The same is true of other schematics with similar numbers in their slots, like the legion of the dead armor.) Since battlemage arms and legs have 8 utility and 4 defense each, going to keeper robes from sturdy battlemage armor amounts to losing 8 utility slots to gain 2 armor slots. So it's better for the straight-up armor rating, but probably less effective for your character overall.

But it's not like you need perfect equipment anyway--the game certainly isn't hard enough to require it--so if you prefer how the keeper robes look, they could very well be worth it!

Keeper Schematic is found at a merchant while having The Short List perk. I believe it IS the Hissing Wastes vendor. But it may be another. I know this because I have the Schematic, just can't remember exactly what vendor I got it from.
