Title says it all. I feel that the Venatori really need a buff. Commander needs to have a more damaging skillset (maybe frost step and energy barrage actually doing good damage). Thoughts?

It is definitely out of balance as the weakest faction round 5
No
Why not? They really are a cakewalk compared to the other two.
I definitely think the three faction need to be brought closer in power with each others. Perhaps give the Venatori commander the ability to cast barrier on enemy units since the Venatori does have some pretty annoying minions for people to deal with.
The barrage of fireballs does good damage if they hit, but are dodge able if you pay attention.
Definitely the weakest boss/wave 5.
er.. I've killed the Venatori commander instantly on threatening before. My assassin has two unique level 23 daggers. I did a hidden blade on her while I was stealthing back and it managed to kill her instantly.
Definitely needs a buff. Meanwhile I do that same thing to the demon commander and it might take 1/4 of his health bar off. Rebalancing is necessary here.
What is the reason? No matter what, one will always be easiest. That happens to be this one right now and if it's changed then it will be another one.
Well obviously yeah, but there is a difference in being the easiest, and drastically underpowered.

Sheeeeeit. Id love to see a video of that in action. What difficulty?

It was threatening. I think it was mostly luck based though, All 6 of the hidden blade shadows must have critical hit.
Usually it takes two hidden blades to kill, along with maybe a few swings
I love how in that video we have no idea what difficulty you're playing on, no idea what level you and your party members are but your bow is obviously purple/unique.

Being the easiest faction is one thing, but right now Venatori are a cakewalk on stage 5, even on Perilous.
It would be great if the Venatori Commander could get Firestorm. You'd have a certain time to get out of the radius before you get stunlocked and killed by it. That way you couldn't camp a chokepoint and would have to constantly be on the move. She also needs to get her hitpoints doubled at least.
For us, she maybe be stupid easy. But have you puged lately? This boss is needed for A LOT of players. I don't think its right to cut away many peoples chances of ever beating a boss because she is not enjoyable to us. We can always find ways to make it more difficult for ourselfs without making it worse for those that are less fortunate than us.Well obviously yeah, but there is a difference in being the easiest, and drastically underpowered.

huh? ive never been able to hit her from stealth she automatically teleports away. My assassins main hand is 440 dps by the way and Ive never been able to take 1/4 of health od demon commander on one hit.
Venatori indeed need a buff. The commander's damage is just a joke. It's really just not challenging (=fun) against them unlike against the Red Templars or Demons.
If Bioware is unwilling to change the balance, perhaps they can adjust the experience/gold/reward gain instead.
You could stop using such powerful weapons &/or high level toons? I always recommend that to hardcore gamers that love a challenge.
Although I do agree, really this game seems fairly easy - pugs notwithstanding. Just a bit of coordination makes it pretty simple. So pugging could create a new challenging paradigm for you as well.
They will adjust difficulties & add new ones. As previously stated, it's good for pugs/newbies/casual players.
This video was me and Cirvante with 1 random. 3 people not even communicating managed this in less than a minute. God knows what 4 people in a party actively trying to speedrun it could do it in.

You want a challenge? Repeat this with a 100 dps weapon - cause this is what vast majority of players most likely have at the moment. This game is hardly about player skill or skill choice in building the character... it's all about equipment. And there is no guarantee the terms will be even for all players unless the in game shop is redesigned completely. You doing at least 400 dmg on that video, I do ~130 (200+ if I get a critical). Does this make you a better player or just a more lucky one with RNG shop?

Why would i do that? Ive done gold solos in ME3 with Incisor Drell Vanguard with no grenades and it isn't any harder, it just takes longer. If you have low level gear you play routine. Then you move up when you get better gear.
As noted so many times before, weapon quality > player skill. Perhaps you should be on Perilous with a bow of that quality. Or are we going to pretend that having one of the best bows in the game is not the reason why you are absolutely thrashing the enemy, regardless of the faction? I mean if we are going to talk about the problem with the game's balance, let's talk about the actual problem.

There is no reason to play Perilous other than epeen. You get more gold per time spent in game by doing threatening. We all know that better weapons makes things easier, but its a bit silly to suggest that anyone with my bow can complete threatening without lifting a finger just because they have good gear. Ive wiped several times due to being left to solo Templars. No bow can negate 3 horrors pinging you from across the map.
When high quality weapons can achieve over 5x the damage as the starting weapons and nearly every skill is based on the weapon's DPS you can easily understand that weapon scaling can make or break the game. Again, I understand that you don't want to play Perilous but the item you are using is obviously balanced for that content. Using end-game weapons in a non end-game environment will always yield results that point to it being OP or the content being too easy. In this case you have decided the content is too easy instead of realizing that the problem is how the weapons scale. I think you know more about this game than most players so I'm not sure why this concept is so difficult for you to understand. Do you really think that this weapons is balanced for Routine? Of course not, so why would it be balanced for Threatening?
