I agree that MOTD is too OP right now
MoTD is not OP, it's Flask of Fire + thousand cuts. Without the latter your MotD is not going to be over the top ridiculous.

This Thousand Cuts ability seems kind of riddiculous, setting the bug with Flask of Fire aside. Over 80k damage? I know it's tier 3 focus ability, but come the hell on...

Yeah...its kind of really goofy. It does make a lot of the main-quest bosses much less tedious.
Kinda funny that there's a "rogues are weak" thread just next to this one heh
I think Mark of Death is too broken, doubling the damage of any ultimate skill, of any party member too.
MoD is not broken. It is a very powerful skill but it should be such (moreover it is a single target damage skill, not AOE). In the situation explained by the OP it is overpowered because an exploit is used (and in fact it is Flask of Fire what turns MoD "broken", not MoD itself).
The real broken skills are Fade Shield (early in the tree, it has absolutely no drawbacks - differently from all other similar skills, as for example Shield Wall for S&S - the strength of replenishment is fairly high at 30% and it works with every attack/spell that does damage) and Flask of Fire (not depleting focus so you can spam something like Thousand Cuts every 32 seconds, even on top of Mark of the Rift).
The first one is like turning ON a "god mode" cheat where you cannot be damaged, the second one turns every difficult encounter into a complete joke.

Its not really that Rogues are weak or strong. On hard and nightmare, Dual Wield rogues tend to get smooshed pretty often against random nameless goons, but they will straight ruin the bigger baddies. Archery is tremendously strong all around as they are more out of harm's way, but they also dont put out as much damage. And the Thousand Cuts (FoF or no) is not something you just bust out often, as getting it charged to 3 meters takes some time and if you get knocked out, the charge can drop down a full bar (or 2 in some cases).
