Hello friends!

I have been messing with all classes and specs for the last week, at least a few levels each in the mid-game (level 12-15), and trying all tree synergies. And i got a few conclusions, i will make it very quick:

- KE its the most OP class, easy to to solo, but that is the problem... its too easy, too brainless and therefore not fun. (yes, you can use another spells than the blade, but thats pointless if you want to solo and take the most of the class). You can solo the entire game spamming the blade (choosing the right passives and defensive skills), but thats it, its just pass through the game.

- Necro can be used to solo (not dragons) but is too much kiteing and not fun, you run 80% of the time.

- Rift almost the same as above, more burst, but its better for parties.

- All Warrior classes are: or take too long to kill or to squishy to tank and solo at same time, it haven't any synergy with solo mechanics. You can, but its not compelling.

- Tempest is not for soloing, you will not get another focus skill up until 2015.

- Assassin dual dagger make it possible, very strong sneaking class with hidden blades, mark and passives... but not as strong as:

- Archer assassin: this is the best option. I was surprised when i tested and saw the damage scaling better than the daggers (although bow have a lower base dmg), and the synergy between bow skills and assassin passives. And Hidden blades as a ranged skill becomes one of your main skills.

Full draw will be your opening from stealth, crit 100% of time. Hidden blade will be your second best skill, from stealth when you can... you will want the sleep grenade skill for CCing when stealth is not up and flanking dmg. Mark to help with bosses. You will not use long shot, explosion or any other active skill besides poison and the above... you will always attack from stealth, one shot kill most of times. Thats why you don't need crit chance, but instead stack crit damage > AP > Dex/attack... You will need 2 points in dual daggers to get stamina from kills...

Its OP, makes the game doable solo... but, is not brainless as KE, you need strategy, positioning, know the enemies, etc... its FUN, and its my class to go solo.

I will not say more to not spoil your testing with skills and passives... but i strongly recommend you to forget another specs and go archer assassin.

Good game!

The Tempest's Fire Flask overrides the cooldown and cost of all abilities, Focus included. Thus you don't need to wait until 2015, you just need to wait 32 seconds.
Taking this into account it may arguably be one of the best solo classes.

It's a bug that Bioware said will be fixed in the patch

Archer Assassin is undoubtedly better for soloing since it has more survivability and overall versatility but as for damage it doesn't come even near to the damage you can do with DW. Attacks are faster, many skills attack with both daggers (so double damage at once) and some of the skills in the DW line are insanely powerful (as Deathblow). Even the same Hidden Blades does much more damage with daggers, it is not even comparable.

The difference is that the DW damage is primarily burst/spikes based while archer damage is more sustained and as such the latter is probably more efficient for what it concerns soloing the game. Instead of soloing just add a tank and the picture completely changes.

Having said this I agree totally on the rest (especially on KE that with Fade Shield is totally and utterly broken).
