Let me preface this by saying that I was stuck on 20/21 on my warrior playthrough.

 

I started a mage and I managed to get 21/21.

 

I managed to discover the northern part of the path of flame by not doing a single quest. I actually wanted to get both operations before continuing and I managed to trigger a second path of flame in the north. I went around rather to get the dalish camp and then went through ville montelvan and got the trigger.

 

I do not know if it is linked to no quests being done or doing something else before "dominating" exalted plains.

How do you trigger it post patch3? I've tried fast traveling there, leaving the world map and then walking into the camp. Neither triggered it as the 21st region.

That's exactly what I did, I think.

 

I patched, forgot all about EP bug and was confused for a moment when it "discovered" the region.

 

Try with another save/character to see if it's bugged for you in general or just with the one you're playing rn

This is going to sound really silly, but as someone that's had to troubleshoot stuff before, did you have all the regions opened up? There are a couple of operations that have to be done in order to get them all. For me, testing the patch last night, I was already in the region, and QTd to the Elven camp and it popped it.

One thing I might suggest, although kind of boring, would be to QT to all the camps, and see if it triggers.

Patch notes of 1.03 mention that the problem with the regions in the Exalted Plants should be fixed... I installed the patch but still have the issue of 20/21. Checked out the whole map again but no change.

 

What about you guys?

Just finished it. In my case the bad Boy was the - sorry for my English, not native - area of the very very very smal Dalish Clan at the quick travel point.

I have an Xbox One, and I can't figure out how to tell if the patch was downloaded or not. I assume it was since it's been a few days and I have great internet speed and it's connected.

Patch 3 patch notes on Bioware's site are PC Patch notes and include "You can find a comprehensive list of the upcoming fixes in Patch 3 for PC below. We’ll release more information on patches for consoles in the future, so stay tuned for more updates." So I think it is true as I can't find console patch notes atm.

Well that explains it.  On the PS4 and just made it to the Plains a few hours ago and literally SCOURED it looking for that missing last region.

I can't say what area people are having difficulty with but saw this thread and decided to see if I could get to 21 of 21 (was already at 19.)  The only places I was lacking were the Unadin Grotto and Citadelle Du Corbeau which I promptly unlocked to get the elusive 21.  Playing on PC so maybe a system related bug...dunno, no issues here.

Conspiracy theory: the missing region is really that red no-man's land but they couldn't fix that so they just made up a new small region to create the apparance that it has been fixed.

 

Actually, I have no idea what "red no-man's land" you're speaking of.

The red-outlined area on this map. Does it still just take the name of whichever place you enter it from then? I find it amusing that I can be standing outside the Northern Ramparts while still technically being in "Fort Revasan" which is right the way across the map.

 

Okay people, because I am SO dedicated to the cause I spent hours this afternoon running around and not only listing the regions of the Exalted Plains, but also trying to draw them onto a map... it threw up something interesting.

 

Now, some of the boundaries aren't SUPER accurate, because there's some overlap and it depends which way you cross the border as to when the text pops up. However, I noticed a VERY LARGE, significant area in the middle of the map that does NOT trigger any change in region. Whichever region you enter it from, this area continues to say that is the region you are in. Indeed, by travelling only through this area, it was possible for me to run all the way from Fort Revasan to just outside the Northern Ramparts with the game still saying I was in "Exalted Plains: Fort Revasan" on the map screen. I suspect that this is the elusive "Area 21" and that the game has glitched so it doesn't trigger. I have outlined it in red on the map.

 

I wonder if anybody who says they DO have 21/21 in this area would be able to run into this area on their map and tell me what this region is called? Any chance of a dev speaking to the level designer for the Exalted Plains and getting some clarification?

The last region is actually the Dalish Camp. It was bugged so that it was considered part of Halin'Sulahn, but fixed by a patch. I fired up an old game the other day, went to the Dalish Camp to buy quillback hide, and had "Discovered: Dalish Camp" and "Completed: Regions of Exalted Plains" pop up along with the +2 Power and + 200 influence.

Has everyone made sure they went all of the way to the door inside Var Bellanaris? There is a tiny grotto there on the stairway that makes 21... no bug here for me
