I want to be the first to say I want to read your fanfiction when your done if thats alright
It's going to be quite a few chapters, so it may be a while before I finish. Plus, I need to find a beta reader to catch any problems. On fanfiction.net, it's all but impossible to find a good beta who won't disappear when you need them the most!
But, when I finish it, I'll send it to you via PM. ![]()

I'd certainly be interested in seeing it too.
But yeah, I'd love to play as the Warden again. Honestly, I think whatever technical or storytelling issues they'd have bringing him back could be resolved; everything's impossible until it happens, right? If players want to stick with the Ultimate Sacrifice, then have the Warden-Commander from Awakening, or have a spirit that thinks it's the Warden.

I'd like to see a Hero of Fereldan based DLC, or rather a DLC based around their quest.
To work, I imagine we'd need some options at the beginning where we set up our HoF or Keep does it, perhaps if they can't take place for whatever reason, then replace with the orlesian warden.
I think it would be best to control the Inquisitor though (honestly I wouldn't mind, I like the Inquisitor near as much as the HoF)
If the whole no voice for the HoF was a problem, maybe they could set up a way to see them but never talk to them and let Leliana be the go between.
We would need to see some HoF action though.

Yup, I'd love to see that. Doesn't make sense to me that one of the most influential individuals in Ferelden and arguably Thedas is never visible nor playable in Dragon Age again if the Warden is alive.

The Hero is too important to ignore. BioWare must feature the Hero in the next game, or else it will be DA2 all over again.

Important to whom? Mine's dead. She died killing the Archdemon in Denerim, about 10 years or so before the start of DA I. That's also the default world state in the Keep. I guess, despite the clamoring, HoF just isn't that important after all, eh? After all, won't your canned response to this be: "You can have the Orlesian Warden then" If the HoF is so easily replaced then they aren't all that important, the two concepts are almost diametrically opposed.

Then you dont need to care anymore or say anything. Because if your warden is dead why do you bother.
If the warden returns in any way its for the living and not your dead ones

Everyone prefers content that caters to their tastes so of course people who have dead hero's are going to want Bioware to work on content that doesn't exclude them. Saying that they "don't need to say anything" is the equivalent of covering your ears because Bioware has to consider the best way to spend resources for the entire fanbase and not just those that agree with you. Then you dont need to care anymore or say anything. Because if your warden is dead why do you bother.

Because this is the DA I forum, and not a "We miss the Warden" support group forum? If you find one of those, you'll note that there won't be one post in one thread from me; I don't miss my Warden enough that I have to harp on how important it is for him/her to return.

BioWare really needs to make a Hero of Ferelden DLC.
Then kill him/her in the first ten minutes and have Sebastian show up as the protagonist for the rest.
Damn, that would be some Square Enix-level trolling right there.

Important to those whose Heroes lived. Important to Thedas, what with all that is going on with the Wardens, Morrigan, the Blight, the Black City, Ferelden, etc. The Hero's character ties into all these things.
Which means she is buried in her own personal tomb at Weisshaupt Fortress, which is where the next installment might take place. That means you would get to see your Hero's final resting place.
The default world state is for BioWare only. It has no influence over any player's world state.
No, my response is the same as it's always been. You can have the Orlesian Warden or not depending on what you want. The Orlesian Warden would not replace the Hero. For example, he or she can't replace a Hero who romanced Morrigan or had a child with her. No, the Orlesian Warden would just be a decent substitute who could fulfill the basic roles, but not all of them.

I don't believe Weekes is going to turn the franchise on it's head and all of a sudden pop the Warden into play. Nice try!

There is headcanon if you wish to continue the "romance" with Morrigan, and i genuinely believe that this is exactly the sole purpose of why so many seem to want the Warden so badly seriously is starting to become tiresome.

Starting to become so tiresome that makes you determined to read every post and reply everything rather than just ignoring? Perfect logic, really. Why is it wrong for people to tell that they'd like to see Warden again in a forum? Isn't it what forums and boards for? Obviously they are and not whining about how everyone's post/opinion is pointless other than theirs. And you can ignore this thread and make a headcanon and simulate this thread in your head rather than posting useless out-of-topic posts like the one above if telling everyone how unimportant their opinions are makes you feel important or happy. It's not that hard to understand why many people would want to see the Warden again, considering Warden is by far the most popular DA protagonist. Ultimate Party results can confirm this if it wasn't obvious enough. And seeing even the least favorite protagonist return in DAI may have given hope about seeing Warden again as well.
Back to the matters that are actually related to the topic and thread, seeing the Epilogue Slide of DAI that was about Weisshaupt reminded me of an Epilogue Slide from the first game. In DAI, bad news about unrest and rebellion come from Weisshaupt. In DAO, there was an Epilogue Slide about Weisshaupt as well, in that too, bad news of unrest and conflict come from Weisshaupt and Warden-Commander eventually goes there. I think paths may cross there.
And about the importance of Orlesian Warden, he is at least as important as Hawke, if not more. Only in Awakening, Warden reveals the truth behind the Fifth Blight and the Architect and can even defeat him (as Hawke defeats Corypheus), learns about Ancient Avvar Lore, Avvar God Korth and can even interact with Kort's shrine (as Hawke can interact with the shrine of Lady of Sky) and knows Anders and Justice (as Hawke does), hears of the news about a possible mage rebellion from Wynne and perhaps even more importantly learns two very important things from Morrigan in Witch Hunt; one, Flemeth is not entirely human (we saw this part in DAI); two, Flemeth is linked to blight in some way (we're yet to learn about it). I think we may learn this in a Grey Warden themed DLC since it is about the taint. And not to mention that Orlesian Warden is a Grey Warden and Grey Wardens are the only ones who can end a Blight and two Archdemons still remain. In Darkspawn Chronicles we were told nicely that it's not like just any Grey Warden can end the Blight. Fourth Blight lasted decades even when there were many more Grey Wardens who were even riding Griffons.
