So, uh, what? Is this a known bug or something? Whenever this triggers on my armor, I see tons of damage pop up and I insta-die. Playing a Knight Enchanter.

That feature would appear to be incompatible with friendly fire.

The devs seem to have gone out of their way to make friendly fire irritating.

Well frankly this answered a question I had which was if your armor spawned caltrops or cast mind blast would that effect work if your class couldn't do those things. If your KE is spawning caltrops then obviously that is a mage using a rogue power. I want to toss a mind blast effect on Cass's armor now.

I've got mind blast on my KE's armor. Eldritch Detonations with Spirit Blade all over the place.

Can you describe it? Does your character lunge forward to bash the enemy?

Nope. Think of it as the arrow doing the shield bashing. The enemy gets bashed by the arrow and is knocked down, while your archer's shooting isn't even dropping its pace.

Well I just created a Bow that has a 10% chance of dropping Caltrops... hopefully that doesn't cause any damage to me or I'm screaming "broken" lol

Now that's interesting (if it works).  What's the recipe to get caltrop drops on a bow?  Does it proc on the target hit, or on yourself on a hit?

I actually found a bow with this on it, unfortunate that it drops the Caltrops on you, but its not entirely useless. When I pull threat from a tank, I can kite them through the caltrops to give my tank a bit of time to catch up. However, other than that it is quite useless.

It's a Mastercraft ingredient that' I can't recall tbh... sorry.

It's working pretty awesom since I respecced and don't have caltrops anymore as a move. Now I can just shoot and then when it randomly drops them, if a melee enemy is coming up I leap shot away as they take Caltrop damage and my shot. :0

 

Btw, no self damage from the shot.
