Hi there,

I wasn't quite sure where to post this. Tech support seems inappropriate, and the other forums are about specific gameplay elements - so I figured, might as well ask here! After all, the question regards my starting.

I mucked up my order of DA:I, accidentally buying a physical copy rather than a digital one. As a result, it's going to be a while (as much as a week) until I receive my key.

Now, I can actually play the game using my brother's account in Offline mode! I was wondering however: does anyone happen to know if I will be able to start a game on his account, and then when I have my key, just continue playing it on mine? Basically, I'm trying to figure out if it's worth investing time in the game right now. If saves are account-bound, I might just have to hold off on playing, so as I don't waste my time on a game that's going nowhere.

Thanks!

I would be app'ed to say no. the key you are getting is for your account, so a character started on your brother's account it should not work on it. I know on my 360 the saved files are account bound.

Just one quick update, and then I'll let this die.

In case anyone ever has the same question, and this thread comes up in a search - Inquistion (on PC at least) does recognise saves you've made under a different account. I've redeemed my own copy now - and I I still have all my progress and characters.

So, it's all good. :D
