Hello inquisitors

I was rushing suledans keep in the snow area when i tried to switch characters like normal but it would not work. Tbis was extremely frustrating because i am under leveled and am relying on party switch. I tried going back to camp but still nothing. When i go into inventory or character record it works but not in game. I shut off my xbox in hopes of it stopping and now i am giving it time to cool down. Anyone else run into this? I really hope my whole save isnt messed up now
